Welcome MancMama.
Fingers crossed for all those with scans in the next couple of days (early or otherwise).
Sunshine - whereabouts in Hampshire are you (feel free to ignore or PM if you'd prefer!)? I'm in Surrey, but on the Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire border, and the cheapest private scans I can find locally are £75, but most are closer to £100.
I was 10 weeks on Saturday - still no sign of my scan date yet. I'll call at the end of the week if I haven't heard anything. I'm too impatient!Married my wonderful husband 31st July 2011 :j
Baby boy born April 2013 - and 2 became 3!
Baby number 2 due May 2016 - 3 will become 4!0 -
Fingers crossed for you Lulu! How exciting! Let us know how you get on.
I didn't get to see a doctor either Euronorris, rang reception and they just booked me in for my booking appointment at 8 weeks. It's not until the 19th of November! It's very strange indeed.
We are in Alton Lolly so just over the border from Surrey (I've always been a Surrey girl born and bred but the house prices pushed us into the next county!) The place I've booked is Fareham way so might not be too bad for you depending on where you're based? It's called First View Imaging, obviously no idea if they're any good but perhaps worth a look?
Fingers crossed everyone is doing ok, I'm flagging now, my pj's and sofa are calling me! xx0 -
Welcome to the thread Mancmama!
Sushinegirl I've a friend who went there for an early scan and had nothing but praise for them.
Good luck with the scans Toots and lulu
I was 12 weeks yesterday, and went to my M&D's for a family fry-up yesterday lunchtime. I don't think all of the fatty foods have done me any good at all though, as I'm suffering badly with my reflux today. I made the mistake of buying soup when I was in town today, as it sounded fairly innocuous (sweet potato, coriander and coconut), but of course it was probably made with lots of onions and garlic, and I could detect chilli in there too, which are the worst things to be eating with this condition. Can't wait to take my ranitidine tonight at bedtime, as hopefully that'll help.
I'm also feeling really guilty that I'm not doing much with my 3-year-old as I've been feeling so rubbish, so I took him to the park this afternoon. However, we had to leave after only a short time as I felt sick and my hands were turning blue from the cold, so I've made it up to him since we've been home by making him some hot chocolate to warm him up and some home-made popcorn to have whilst watching TV. He's rewarded me though by weeing on the floor (more bending over to clean the floor and then to shower and dress him). Counting down the time until my DH will be home to take over and I can have a rest as I'm still really tired all the time too. Sorry for the rant.
1 week tomorrow until my scan.(Another one feeling anxious though too.)
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170 -
We have a 1cm baby with a heartbeat. Dated 7+1 so I'm only a couple days off what I thought. I'm delighted but remaining cautious.
Good luck tomorrow Lulu!0 -
That's great news Toots14, you must be so relieved to see a heartbeat.
Good luck tomorrow LuLu
Sexymouse I have had really cold hands recently - strange as I am normally a warm person.
My nausea seems to have eased, but need to urinate increased exponentially! 8 days till my scanMort at highest - June 2008 - £171,000 - Daily Int 5.9% = £27.64:eek:Offset Mort - Nov 2010 £150,299- Daily Int 3.75% = Nov £15.44Mortgage Jan 2012 - £136,000 - Daily Int 3.75% - £3.100 -
That's fantastic news Toots, I understand the caution but it must be a relief to have cleared the hurdle of the first scan.
Sexymouse sorry to hear you've been feeling rubbish. I'm sure your little boy won't mind that you haven't been doing quite so much, hot chocolate and popcorn sounds fab to me anyway!
At home on the sofa now and not feeling too bad all considered. Anyone else worry that they don't feel ill enough? I feel like I should feel worse! Oh well, 5 weeks tomorrow so I guess there's still time! X0 -
P.s good luck with your scan sexymouse, fingers crossed it all goes brilliantly x0

Good news toots ☺ , good luck lulu.
I found that I was obsessed with the thought of being pregnant for the first couple of weeks, but can now spend a day at work without think about it.
I had my booking in appointment last Monday and it feels like weeks before I'll find out about my scan and then have to wait for the date. I keep thinking that they'll find out its been a hoax or something.0
