Less than 12 weeks pregnant club! Part 4!!

Hey all,

Hope everyone is well. I'm feeling a bit better today. Had my booking in appointment on Monday, which was fine. Midwife told me to expect my scan appointment through the post, but not until I was almost 12 weeks - argh! I want it now!!

Told my boss the news today, as I've been feeling so grim, it's been hard to hide. He was pleased for me, and said it explained a few things! (like me working from home a lot!!).

9+4 now. eek!

Spoke to the Dr today on the phone about my medication for Gerd. I've now got a higher strength ranitidine than the over the counter one I'd bought along with enough omeprazole so that I can take 40mg each morning. Was talking with my Mum about it this afternoon and she asked me outright if I was pregnant. I went bright red and had to admit I was but told her we'd wanted to wait until after the scan to tell people due to the number of close friends I've had who've had missed miscarriages recently. She's thrilled! I also confessed that the extra babysitting for me to go to work on the 3rd is actually for my scan and we'd intended to surprise her afterwards. I'm relieved it's out there with her now as she's very sympathetic about the tiredness and feels guilty about nagging me to tidy up and unpack boxes (we moved in June and there's quite a few still packed). So a good day generally even though my reflux is bad today.

Not long until your scan now lulu! You must be so excited! Can't wait to hear all about it.

what a horrible 2 days I've had. Went for my early 6 week scan (arranged by the fertility clinic), and they couldn't find anything - its just an empty uterus. I was devastated. you should at least be able to see the sac at this stage. The concern was either a non viable pregnancy or an ectopic. Went and had my HCG levels checked, the results came back at 544 - which is low according to how many weeks I am. I will have some more bloods done tomorrow. I'm hoping and praying that they have doubled - otherwise it will be an early miscarriage. I'm resting all my hopes on that I am earlier than I thought. HCG of 500 is normal for between 4-5 weeks. lets see what tomorrow brings.

I feel fine - no bleeding. Very sore boobs, back ache, fatigue- all which I thought meant it was progressing nicely.

I just feel numb, this waiting is torture.

Oh no! So sorry to hear what a rough time you've had Kelly. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for your results next time and hoping your dates are wrong. Massive hugs for you and your other half and sticky dust to you. Xx

I'm so sorry to hear that kelly. I'm hoping, and keeping my fingers crossed, that your dates are just wrong and you're not as far along as you thought. Being in limbo is horrid. ((HUGS)) for you xxx

Thanks for all of your lovely messages.

I'm afraid its not good news for me.. my HCG has only risen to 624 from 544. I believe that means its not a viable pregnancy. awaiting to speak to the fertility clinic on Monday but I know its not good.

I wish you all a happy and healthy pregnancy. I hope its not another 3 years before I get to join you again.
