Oh no Toots. I'm having a pity party as the Gerd is really getting me down now, especially as I know it's likely to get worse as the pregnancy squashes my digestive system further. :(
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

    Congratulatons sunshine girl.

Also having a pity party here today (seems like I'm constantly having one at the moment). Sickness is still really bad, got a stinking headache and didn't get much sleep last night. We moved our 2.5 year old into a toddler bed from his cot, and although he slept really well, I didn't because I was so conscious of him waking up.

Sorry for all the moaning folks - I'm off to my booking in appointment shortly, so hopefully that will cheer me up!

    Congratulations sunshinegirl! :)

Not much to report here as still only 4w+5. Was so tired over the weekend, still am really. Went to bed around 9.30pm on Saturday and didn't get up until 11am yesterday! And I still could've slept on!

Rampant Recycler I've been Money Tipped!
    Welcome newcomers!

I was actually sick yesterday, it was horrific :( Luckily I got to spend most of the day on the sofa.

When it came to bed could I go to sleep? Nope! I woke up every hour as well because I was soooo uncomfortable! I've decided my first two purchases (after a new bed!) is a maternity pillow and a belly band!

    1w1d until my scan!

    11+0 x

As I'm getting so hot at night, I find that if I lie on my left side and fold the duvet back, I can put my right leg over the top of the duvet to help my hips be at a better angle. I do remember towards the end of my last pregnancy that the bed was completely filled with pillows, which continued whilst I was breastfeeding for a while until I got a proper feeding pillow.

    How is everyone doing today?

All fine here. Still super tired here. Made a curry last night, and then promptly fell asleep at 9.30pm! lol

I had to strip off the pyjamas in the night again as I was too hot. I don't know why I bother wearing them! lol And managed to wake up hubby, for the 2nd night in a row, at 4am as I desperately needed to pee! lol

We went to visit my MIL on Saturday, and she is super excited. This will be her first grandchild, so she's already bought some feeding bottles, and some of those disposable changing mats! Bless her.

  • Hello everyone,

Sorry to those who are feeling rough, fingers crossed it improves as the days tick by!

I would have been due my period today and am finding that I'm incredibly anxious. I'm not normally an anxious person and I know that what will be will be but I'm still finding it difficult not to worry. Anyone else finding they are on a permanent sense of high alert? I have been to the loo about 4 times today already to check nothing is happening!

It just seems so bizarre that this massive thing happens and then you just have to sit and wait for TWO MONTHS!! I have a new found respect for pregnant women everywhere! xx

There are some days I do not feel pregnant at all. Today being one of them. I am still like that Sunshine and my period is now 20 days late! I am 6+5 today.

We have booked a private scan which is on Monday and I will be 7+3 so hopefully at a stage where we can actually see something. Excited and nervous for it.

    Welcome sunshine!

I was pretty nervous around AF due date, but it came and went with nothing bad happening. I'm sure yours will too.

My mum has warned me that it's pretty common to get spotting around week 8 too - when your next AF is due- so will be keeping an eye out for that, and if it happens try really hard not to freak out! lol

Oh Toots! That's so exciting!! :) I've still got 3w+6 before my booking in appointment with midwife! Time feels like it's dragging here! Keeping my fingers crossed for you that all will be wonderful! :)

5w+0 here. Went to Tesco's at lunch to grab a few bits and felt a wave of nausea rush over me! Eek! Thankfully it passed pretty quickly. I think the fresh air helped there. Would've been embarrassing if I'd chundered in the street. Not sure how I could've explained it to my colleague either! lol

  • Oh good, glad I haven't just gone completely batty then! AF would normally be here by this point in the day so with every hour that goes past I'm feeling a little bit less anxious. Thanks for the info about the likelihood of week 8 spotting, will try an be prepared!

Exciting about the scan Toots! I'm sure it will all go fantastically. I have one booked in for 21st November when (all being well) I will be 8+5. Have got my booking in appointment the Thursday beforehand (4 weeks tomorrow, not that I'm counting) so that will be an exciting week!

I hear you on the waves of nausea EuroNorris! Driving in to work today I had to take a lot of deep breaths and swallow hard several times. It seems to strike when I'm hungry and when I try to eat too much. Going to attempt the little and often approach from now on and see if that helps! xx
