Two heartbeats!! I cried. Total state of shock! Got to go back next week for another scan as they were both in a really awkward position, so will stay on here for another week until I get the all clear... don't think it has sunk in yet. Eeeeek!

Large membrane between them, so more than likely non identical.

My cousin has 1 year old non identical twins, and my MIL is a non identical twin.

Probably more likely to be age related, as women over 35 are more likely to release more than one egg. The bodys way of increasing the odds of conception!!

I've still got 2 weeks until I see my midwife & GP, and my nausea has been coming & going... A few more people at work have guessed, my face just changes colour completely when I'm not feeling well so I can't hide it! As I work with radiation it's not a bad thing that my colleagues know, as at least I have a good reason for not working in certain places and I'm not just being awkward! I bought some travel sickness wristbands today at the recommendation of a friend, will see if they help and report back!

I've also been looking at finances as others have, trying to work out what we'll need to save in order to take the full 12 months off work. I had mentioned this a couple of months before I fell pregnant but with a big holiday, a car purchase & some windows/doors fitted in the house it's not happened yet! I'm keen not to dip into our savings while I'm off unless it's for a big purchase or something to do on the house, so I'm hoping to get around £5000 saved between now & February... Not quite sure how doable this, but I'm hoping to have a big eBay clear out when I've got the energy!!
