    Hi everyone,

Hoping I can join in with you lovely ladies and be able to stick around for the full duration!

I'll write my story here if you all don't mind:

Had contraceptive implant (in arm) removed end of February, and had called the doctor as the monthly visitors hadn't returned yet. Had a few symptoms and then eventually a bleed which I thought was periods coming back, and the doctor advised taking a test, to which I laughed at her. :rotfl:

2 tests and 2 digital tests later... here I am. Clearblue shows 'Pregnant 3+', so have no idea on timings and dates.

I have had one 'big' bleed and since then a couple of bits when visiting the loo. First was more red and since then more brown (sorry TMI). Obviously very worried.

Phoned my doctors who were worse than awful and ended up phoning round hospital and midwife. They were much more helpful and ended up getting an appointment with midwife on Monday at the clinic. Hoping she can reassure me.

    Symptoms so far:
    - SORE boobs
    - bloating
    - slight back ache
    - night sweats
    - dizziness
    - restless legs
    - strange stomach feeling like a stretching or pulling.

Anyone have any words of wisdom for me and can reassure before my appointment on Monday? What should I be asking?

    Thank you in advance.

Welcome hieveryone. Good to see you here. Don't know what to advise re appointment but I hope everything goes ok with it.

Hello pinkshoes, may your stay here be a nice long one this time.

lulu- did the sonographer say anything about the date discrepancy? If they didn't then I'm sure it's nothing to worry about.
  • Welcome hi everyone.

Lulu, is it not because that's the gestational age of the embryo, as we plus two weeks from last period?

Glad all was well :D mine is ages away, and cheapest scan here is £95

I could kill for a glass of wine now. Which isn't normally like me - I can take or leave alcohol most of the time! I think it's the fact I know I can't have it!

Hello, can I tentatively join you lovely ladies?

I've been active over on the 'trials and tribulations 12m+' thread for the last couple of years, we've been trying for our first for 3 and half years and had a couple of ICSI treatments last year, both negative. The second ICSI managed to give us one frozen embryo though which we were planning to have transferred in September last year until I went and broke my ankle the day before the transfer date {doh} We finally had our frostie transferred on 1st May and then (amazingly) got our BFP on 15th May.

According to all the IVF due date calculators on t'internet, I'm 6 weeks today and our fertility clinic have me booked in for an early scan on 8th June - which seems like a lifetime away! I've lurked on here for the last week but hadn't got round to posting yet as it still seems all so unbelievable.

Sorry for the long message everyone! xxx

Have you guys told anyone yet? We told one of our best friends and her husband last night, figured I'd tell her if it all went wrong so not too bad, and told OHs best mate for the same reason. It seems like loads of people, but it isn't.

We've told quite a few people - our work (so we can get the time off), our families and a couple of very close friends.

Cautiously rejoining this group for the third time...

    EDD 25th January.

I had a MMC at 12 weeks in September, then another at 9 weeks a couple of months ago.

Very apprehensive that it is going to end in miscarriage again, so trying to not get excited. 3rd time lucky???

If I make it to 6 weeks, then I will contact the doctor! The hospital said that if I got pregnant again, they would give me a scan at 8 weeks, as that seems to be when things seem to go wrong.

Welcome pinkshoes - fingers crossed that his one sticks, hopefully you'll get an early scan xx

Good to see you here Pink. I have so much crossed for you for this sticky bean :)

Scan went well, although I'm confused.

My LMP puts me at 7 weeks 4 days but I only measured at 5+4. OH and I only DTD twice in April, one of which was 5 weeks and 4 days ago! We found out on 3rd May so I found out very early!!

We saw the sac on the abdominal scan but I needed an internal scan to see everything up close, and oh my god it was amazing. We saw the yolk sac and the gestational sac, and we even saw the heartbeat! The little blip is 3.5mm long and we're so happy.

The scan cost £60 and we got 4 photos. If anyone is in the same area as me they're called Premier Scans and are based in Leicester and Lichfield (the one I went to)

Glad the scan went well! As long as they are happy with it, I wouldn't worry too much about the dates - at that size, there will be scope for a bit of error anyway.

Welcome hieveryone! Fingers crossed all works out for you. All of your symptoms sound normal, and it's not uncommon to bleed in early pregnancy, so fingers crossed all will be ok.

The fact that you've had a bleed and are uncertain about your dates means that they might give you an early scan so you might get some reassurance from that.

Let us know how you get on.
