We've had a busy weekend, been pretty wiped out but as we were staying with in-laws they took DD out for the morning yesterday so I could put my feet up :)
had a bit of brown and pink spotting over the last 24 hours :o trying to be calm as I think it's most likely to be breakthrough bleeding, as I'm about 8 weeks so would be due my second missed period about now. Not easy though, very aware of lots of crampy/stretchy feelings in my pelvis :(

Morning. Joining you lovely ladies from the TTC thread as I got my BFP on Friday:j.

I am 4+3 today by date of LMP, but 4+5 based on OV date. Going with the former for now.

This is my third pregnancy following two MMC in the last 18 months so extremely nervous to be back here again. Absolutely terrified of that first scan.

Lots of AF type cramping in the last few days, and on Sat had some really sharp stabby pains that came and went. These have gone now which is a relief.

Rambosmum, with you on the CM thing. Feels like AF. Keep going to the loo to double check.

Welcome Devildolly. It is so hard to remain calm, and I expect it is even harder for you given past experience. Fingers and toes crossed for sticky beans for all.

The CM def feels like AF, has even woken me up.

Littlemoog- my GP was really non-plussed, his wife (so he told me) has an overactive thyroid and which in his opinion is soooo much worse (funny how it's different when your personally involved). He said I'd probably be referred to specialist at some point but not yet - he also said that he'd be surprised if my levels changed at all (until I pointed out the nice guidelines). He clearly hadn't a clue.

Told the first friend yesterday, he was very non-plussed, but he has had a miscarriage in the past (well, his ex told him she was pregnant about 2 weeks after dumping him, then 24hours later told him she'd miscarried. He took it really really hard, we think she was a lying, manipulative ****) so expected him to be a bit sensitive about it, he is a very sensitive person.

    Hi Rambosmum,
Hope everything is ok and congrats on the pregnancy..

Just thought I would get back to you regarding your thyroid issue and worries about miscarriage.

I am exactly like you in regards to checking for blood every time I go to the toilet. I just hope each day goes past and gets nearer to my due date.

I have an underactive thyroid. Well actually I was born without a thyroid and all my life have been taking thyroxine. I got pregnant through IVF and for the first six weeks I was fine. Suddenly the tiredness hit me like never before but I was unsure if it was the hormones I was taking or the actual pregnancy itself. When I went to my midwife she sorted out the consultant because your thyroxine levels are pretty important. Have you seen a midwife yet?
Well to cut the story short my TSH levels went through the roof - 15.5 when they should be between 1.0 and 5.0. I began taking 50mg more to increase from 150mg to 200mg and after having a test three weeks ago they were back to normal at week 15.. I feel back to normal now to after feeling like a zombie for five weeks.
Your midwife will refer you as an urgent consultation to the hospital and throughout your pregnancy you will be tested every 3-6 weeks and scanned depending on how much your thryoxine is fluctuating (spell!). Everyone is different and hopefully you wont feel bad but this was just a little message to say that don't let your GP fob you off with being maybe referred! You will get another three scans or so from the consultant and it does feel good to be looked after more.

Hope everything goes ok for you and if you have any questions let me know.

Rampant Recycler I've been Money Tipped!
I'm having a suspiciously good time! I'm still checking every time I go to the loo but I've not been sick and my nausea only appears slightly at night. Only thing that is pretty constant is sore boobs! I'm so worried that no symptoms = bad news so I need Saturday to hurry up!

Thanks littlemoog and emmaj I've got the midwife next Wednesday so will push the consultant thing with her next week. The drs let me go to the blood clinic at the surgery when ever I feel my levels are wrong (I'm pretty sensitive to it) so I shouldn't have much issue there. The dr was a bit dismissive though, which I didn't like. I'll try not to see him again.

lulu- I read over the weekend a survey hat had been done by a baby product company. They sampled 136 women and by week 6 only 50% had symptoms, 70% at week 7 and 90% by week 8, which put my mind at rest a bit. They also all commented that symptoms came and went. And these were actual pregnant women, not people remembering their pregnancies.

    Morning all :)
No more spotting for me, so feeling a bit better today. Loads of random crampy/twingy feelings though, my tummy was so uncomfortable in bed last night. It's just under 3 weeks til my scan, and time is dragging :o

Hope everyone else is doing ok x

Time is dragging here too. I keep thinking once I get to 12 weeks it will be better, but deep down I think not :o

I've been having some unpleasant cramping and twingy stuff, I think it's mainly due to constipation  but possibly some stretching pains in there too? Lots of other symptoms which come and go, although still tired most of the time. Still not been sick though so I'm pleased about that!

I've got my scan appointment through but the date must be automatically generated off the midwife appointment (which was changed to a week earlier) so I'll only be about 11 weeks.

My scan is when I'm 11 weeks too snow_ball, though nearly 12 weeks by LMP date (I know I'm about 5 days behind that from OV date).

I was complaining about my sore tummy to DH and he reminded me that I had the same with DD which went away when I started using a wedge pillow to support my bump/tummy at night. As I sleep on my side, gravity pulls on all the ligaments. I'm sure it wasn't so early on last time though, think I'll be developing a mega bump at this rate :o Will have to dig out the wedge cushion, it's with my maternity clothes somewhere!
