Less than 12 weeks pregnant club! Part 4!!

I went to the Aldi event this morning, I got a box of size 3 nappies, smallest in a box, I had some 50% off vouchers & used those for size 3 ones too as you saved more than off the newborn ones. With various vouchers we've accumulated quite a stash of nappies already. Everyone has told me not to buy too many in the smallest sizes, apparently they aren't in them that long & I literally live opposite Aldi so can always pop over if we do need any extras! I bought the maternity dress and top but haven't tried them on yet.

When I signed up to Emma's Diary i prated the 3 vouchers for the different stages and my boots allowed me to collect all 3 packs at once. The other baby clubs I've signed up to are boots and sainsburys. Don't quite know how you get the voucher for the bounty packs? Think you're given them at your 12 weeks scan but can someone confirm?

As for me I'm feeling shattered today, been off work & haven't done much but am so tired! Having quite a lot of low down ligament pain on both sides. Probably a sign I should be doing even less but I've got a 12 hour day in work to look forward to tomorrow! Yuck! Hope everyone is feeling ok, hopefully will only be a couple of weeks & there should be quite a few of us moving to the next board. Can't wait for my scan on tuesday! xxx

Hey missymoo, the scan went well, baby was flipping and waving for us and has a nice strong heart beat.we are at 10+2 and our new and correct edd is 14th April 2015
I completely forgot the Aldi baby event was on, anyone know when it's on till?
Princess Kate, the bounty pack vouchers they should give you one when you have your booking appointment or a pack and then there's a voucher in there for,the next one and the one after that is given at your 27 week apt and then one when baby is born. I've been and collected my first Emma's diary and bounty packs plus I signed up to cow and gate and boots clubs aswell xxx

Yep I got my Bounty pack voucher from midwife at my booking appointment. I saw that you can print all 3 Emma's Diary packs at once but I thought it would be quite nice to get bits at different stages so I just collected the first one. I didn't consider the fact that you get various vouchers in them though which is a good point, although my pack had an expiry of 31st Oct so I may spread them out a bit.

Princess, did they let you use the 50% off on a box then? Mine didn't as it wasn't valid on special buys and she read the small print... I went for the newborn size 2 ones as I really don't think I'll have a size 1 baby Plus they're so cheap anyways in Aldi I'll be stocking up regularly as long as I have enough space

Trixsie, I know the Aldi events change every Sunday and Thursday, but they normally have about one aisle each and rotate, so I would guess it would be there until next Thursday. There may even be some bits left over that then get reduced as that can happen sometimes so it's worth going in regularly to keep checking. I'm pleased your scan went well and that you have an updated due date - it means you get to stay here for at least another two weeks

No I used my Aldi vouchers on normal packs, bought a full price box today. Just thought it was better to save £2 odd off a size 3 pack than 75p off a newborn pack. My money saving ways! My aldi actually had some bits from the last baby event reduced as well as having all the new stuff in. Tried my top & dress & they're really nice, also double up as nursing items for after baby is here! Bargain!

All of my vouchers had an expiry of 31st October so I've used them already. To be honest the 1st pack had the most in it, the others were just leaflets mainly.

Anyone else had a lot of growing pains/ligament pain? Rely low down in my groin, I think that's where it is! Not looking forward to work tomorrow!

Although I've officially graduated from this thread now, just wanted to say that I've had awful ligament pain in my lower abdomen for the past three days now. Thanksully it's starting to subside. You are not alone and you definitely have my sympathies!

Had a look at the aldi event but didn't get anything can't remember maternity clothes wise what I have stashed away, I think we will get them down from the loft at the weekend to check.

Nct sales are also a great way to pick up a bargain. Not all of them do mat clothes though. I am helped out at one in a couple of weeks and know this one does mat clothes so will have a little look at what they have.

I brought one thing for my first until 12 weeks scan then didn't buy any if the big purchases till after the 20 week scan. I don't think we will have a lot to buy this time around.

Sickness has definitely got worse this week, have ended up starting to eat rubbish as sometimes that's all I can stomach. Currently eating an apple which I find is one of the of the few fruits I fancy. Can't believe I've got at least another 6 weeks of this. Dh is being really supportive and so is my little boy who has been saying poor mummy hehe

poor you jediquigley. Sounds horrible. So please you have great support from your family. Can make such a difference.

Great Bargain hunting those who went to the Aldi offer. I don't have an Aldi near me so couldn't join you.

Now I have the date of my scan, its feeling more real that in a week and a half I will be telling people. So far I haven't told anyone.

Am I the only one who has mixed feelings about telling people?

On the one hand, its going to be great not having to be a hermit and lie to friends and family (was invited out tonight to pub but had to say im busy. OH is still going). Also, im looking forward to everyones responses when we tell them, especially with OH family where it will be the first grandchild.

But, im also not looking forward to the fussing and now all anyones going to talk to me about is babies (like when I was getting married I got so fed up about talking about weddings and how the planning was going). I feel like not too much has changed so far but once everyone knows it all will!
I hate being fussed over and will get annoyed very quickly if people keep asking me how I am!

Im probably just being silly but I just so such mixed feeling about telling people.

Hi everyone, so not to have been on more, but on our second holibobs. Literally just got in, to find the hospital have sent through my midwife booking in appointment, AND my scan appointment! That is efficient as the local Midwife only referred me on Monday!

Sorry you are feeling so crap Jediquigley . I'm not too bad so far, but i've been checking back on my posts on Thread 2 for DD1, it seems throwing up started at about 6+3, so sometime next week, if things repeat!
