kira, I'd not heard of a spray. It's a shame I've stocked up on tablets!!! They are so hard to take when you're feeling sick (I take them in the evening - I'd have no chance in the mornings!!!)Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock0

Trixse- could the negative reaction been jealousy based?
When we announced our first we got really positive reaction from most people but my mum was quite strange. At the time she was under a lot of stress with my sister and her kids and I think she didn't particularly look forward to another grandchild. But she is totally cool now and looks after my boy 2 days a week.
Not sure how the announcement of the second will go down, I will be 12 weeks end of oct, my sister is leaving her husband in a couple of weeks so my parents will be under stress because of that as they will support her a lot.
I remember when I announced my first my best friend asked "was it planned" which I found pretty strange and then asked how long it took us to conceive?!? Haha
Kira, I think I was falling into the idea that I had got away with the sickness as it appeared straight away with my first but this time it came on noticeable at 6 weeks:0( can't believe your have your scan date already.:jMarried 16/07/2010, ds1 born 11/08/12, baby due 08/05/20150 -

Same here Jedi, i was feeling ill from day 6 last time, i cant believe how well i feel at the moment! Lets see how i am next week for week 6!
I know, i'm amazed to have the scan and hospital booking in dates already. The Royal Surrey have a very good rep, and their births per midwife is lower than the other hospitals so they seem pretty well resourced. But November seems FOREVER away to wait, not sure i can bare it, as i am still POAS at least once a week, just to make sure! I think it is cos i cant quite believe it was only our second month of trying and being 39, i'm can't quite believe it is all going to be smooth sailing. Maybe i'll persuade DH to let me have an early scan at a local private place.......
Where abouts are you Jedi? Anyone else on here in Surrey/Hampshire or there abouts?Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

How stocked up are you? Maybe worth getting some spray for the next month when the MS is likely to be worth, then going back to tablets when it is settled down?

DW has had horrendous MS almost since day 1 but over the last few days it's been even worse so I've ordered some of this to see if it helps thanks :beer:0 -
I like the better you sprays they are a decent supplement company, I use their vit d spray.
Kira I am in peterborough, so Cambridgeshire.
That it great going 2nd month, we were 3rd month this time :0) I have to admit I dreamed I miscarried last night even though this has never happened to me in real life. I am not poas every week though lol maybe you should get a private scan to put your mind at rest, I am not sure how much they cost.
Didn't go swimming today which Is my normal routine because I felt sick knacked etc this happened with my first pregnancy because of the sickness but I will get back into it again when things improve. Feel like a slob sitting around all the time.:jMarried 16/07/2010, ds1 born 11/08/12, baby due 08/05/20150 -
Morning (just) ladies. I am tentatively moving over here from the trying to conceive thread after I got my BFP on Thursday (and then Friday and Saturday!). Still in shock!
I am 4 weeks 2 days today. I make that an EDD of 29th/30th May 2015!0 -
aw congrats devildolly and welcome!
Jedi, I've found it really odd being asked "Was it planned?" and someone even asked "Was it IVF?" cos they knew we'd been married a long time. How is it any of their business? :mad:Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock0 -
Congratulations and welcome to devildolly :hello:
Well I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend so far. After my mum saw me get a few bits from the Aldi event she asked me if its alright for her to start buying bits! So we went shopping yesterday and she bought the baby its first set of sleep suitsThey are very cute indeed, but it did make me laugh when we were trying to work out what size to buy, as I am convinced I'm going to have a big bubba! But we also found that the selection of gender-neutral clothes was very limited, and so it opened up the debate of 'should we find out the sex or not?' I personally have always thought I would like it to be a surprise, however OH is desperate to find out, even though he's already convinced its a boy
Plus it would make buying certain items a lot easier.
So I thought I'd open up the question to you - are you planning on finding out the sex of your baby, and what are your reasons for your decision?0 -
We're not going to find out, I agree the gender neutral clothing items are pretty limited & when you see all the cute outfits it would be lovely to be able to buy some but think about how many presses you will get then baby is here. Also supermarkets and so many shops now are open late, wouldn't take much for a member of family to pick up a few pink or blue bits once you've had the baby. If you're set on having a nice going home outfit then get a boy one & a girl one & keep the receipts. Baby shops are really good at returning things as they know people get so much as gifts and you'll always spend a gift card for mother care/mamas and papas!
When it comes to decorating the nursery etc, the basics can be done in advance, furniture and glossing & then if you want a pink or blue room, do it after baby has arrived. They won't be in there for at least 6 months anyway. The reason I say about glossing is because it is so smelly, not nice to have around a newborn baby. We're probably going to decorate the nursery in white and grey, not sure I would do it all pink or blue even if I knew but can always introduce some bits once baby is here.
I think there is no surprise like being told if you've had a boy or girl once they're here and healthy.0
