    Hi Daisiegg,

I am doing OK today for a Monday! How are you?

I know I said I have had no symptoms but I think my lack of sleep lately must be pg related. I have not been a good sleeper for about 2 years now but over the last few weeks I have bee waking up 2-3 times a night and then I really struggle to get up in the morning.

Has anyone else had trouble with sleep?

We had a long powercut in the night which set everyone's burglar alarms off. Repeatedly :(

    Hi ladies

glad your test came up nice and dark daisiegg, if it makes you feel better I kept testing until I got the 3+ on a digital and at that point I thought that since it couldn't get any clearer I may as well stop testing lol

hugs for the lack of sleep jen x

how annoying about the power cut bluebell theres nothing more annoying than house alarms going off x

afm its my 33rd birthday today and I can't help thinking that its a lot happier than the last one. I'm 11 weeks tomorrow an starting to feel more secure about this pregnancy with every passing day. It feels like my scan is the final hurdle before I can really relax and I can't wait for it!

    hugs to all x
  • I think I'm going to struggle to sleep tonight - am a mixture of nerves and excitement as I have my midwife booking in appointment tomorrow afternoon... :o Despite having read up about them in a range of places, I'm quite unsure on what to expect.

Hoping we can get the scan booked fairly sharpish, just to be re-assured everything is still all right after my scare the other week. Will be 9+1 tomorrow, but who knows what will happen re: getting 12(ish) week scan date.

Eek, just did my final CB digi and it says 2-3 weeks now - right on track because I am pretty sure I ovulated 2 weeks ago today. Now to resist not buying anymore CB tests...as much as I would like to see the 3+ weeks!

Bluebell, everyone's alarms going off sounds rubbish - hope you managed to get some more sleep last night.

    purcy - happy belated birthday!

Miss I - good luck with your appointment! You must tell us all about it :)

Just a question, how soon is everyone planning to tell close family etc? I want to tell my mum soon...we are very close and I am pretty much avoiding seeing or talking to her right now because I know I would not be able to keep it to myself. Also, bizarrely, I think she may have some weird sixth sense...I woke up this morning to an email from her with a picture of some cute baby clothes, saying 'look what I have been knitting for someone at work'! Thing is, she has been knitting baby clothes for people at work for years and has never thought to email me a pic before.....
  • Happy belated birthday Purcy :bdaycake:

Miss_I Please do let us know how you get on. I have my booking appointment on Monday and I am quite excited. It will feel more feel then.

Daisiegg I told my Mum at 4 weeks. We too are very close and I just blurted it out to her even though I have absolutely no desire to tell anyone else just yet.

We told my Dad and the in-laws at the weekend. My Mum passed away 9 years ago, but I'm sure had she still been around I'd have told her as soon as I got the positive test!

Daisie, glad your digi test has moved on a bit :) Hope you had a lovely birthday purcy.

Got an early night last night but it didn't help - still yawning! Think I'll go to bed when DS does tonight - try and get 12 hours sleep!
  • I told my my the day after the positive test!
I told my work colleagues around 6/7 weeks as I felt it was best considering my previous miscarriage.
I told my 3 friends who I have been close to since nursery school as I was afraid I would never get the chance to enjoy pregnancy chat with them if I miscarried again!

I am not doing any formal announcement but family & close friends all know now. I had my 12 week scan at 10+2 but we felt happy to share our news after that scan.

I am 11 weeks today too purcy! Are u due 19th August?
  • Hi everyone

I have another booking in appointment with a different midwife tomorrow- I have met this one twice before and she's lovely so I am hoping they will let me swap over to her list.

And on thursday I have another reassurance scan- reckon I will be 9+3. If I can just get through that I might actually start to feel more positive about this pregnancy.

I am hating the progesterone pessaries, I am meant to be using another one 5 days a month but haven't yet been able to bring myself- I am feeling a bit pessaried- out.

My manager started talking about risk assessments today, but has agreed we can wait until after thursday. She has been really good amd supportive throughout all my mcs, I am really lucky

I am indeed due 19th of August credit crunch, wonder whether it will change at my next scan, I hope not as thats the date I've been working with all along!

I told my mum & inlaws at about 6 weeks which was when I was past when my 2 mc happened. Unfortunately my Dad passed away 10 years ago so I'm a bit sad he's not around to tell. I told my boss almost as soon as I found out as I was sure things weren't going to work out again. I told my colleagues last week after my private scan but they'd already guessed anyway! Everyone else I'm waiting for my scan on the 6th to let them know although the brother I'm closest to is always asking when I'm going to make him an uncle again so I'm trying to avoid speaking to him so I don't cave in and tell him lol

Don't worry about the midwife appointment miss I just be prepared to answer a million questions not all of which make sense, did anyone else get asked the question about Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease?

good luck for your scan on Thursday any name, glad your boss is being so supportive.

    hugs to all
  • Hi hope you are all well?

Fine here except I am worrying about the lack of any real symptoms still. Know I should be thankful but it's hard not to worry.

Booking in appt on Friday with midwife, hubby off work that day so is coming with me. Told him he'd most likely find it boring but he's keen to come so fine with me!
