  • Hello chatty ladies! Just a quick hello from me as I'm on my phone and can't remember everything but I'll read back and post properly tomorrow.

Glad your scan went well Missy Moo :) and glad alls ok with you Danielley!

Crazy Daisy Dee - I have a chronic condition too and it might be similar to yours based on what you've said. I've stopped taking my most serious medication, which is not recommended in pregnancy although I took it in my last pregnancy and it wasn't related to what went wrong. But this time it was causing my liver function score to go up so I had to stop. Apparently your body produces natural steroids in pregnancy which should help.

Anyways, got to go now cos my dinners ready but will write more later!
  • Oh dear, finished my long day in work, had a really bad back all day, got home & hubby had cooked tea. Ate it then promptly threw up. I have now gone to bed. Feel tired & achey, going to have a bit of a read & then try to sleep. Hope everyone is ok! x
  • Hello, me again!

I was just going to say that my (chronic condition) consultant was completely disinterested in me being pregnant, 'oh you're pregnant, well I'm not going to change anything while you're pregnant so come back when you're not' (still waiting for that appointment too, grr). However my hospital had a maternal medicine clinic for mothers to be with pre existing medical conditions and they were much more interested and helpful so hopefully your hospital will have something similar Crazy Daisy Dee.

Hi Jovie and midnight ninja! I agree with Aunty Pickle, the NHS due date calculator is a good one and worth putting your dates in! We had a members list a few pages back so just say if you want adding.

Danielley and Aunty Pickle - I'm really bloated too! I like to rub my tummy and pretend it's a bump but I'm pretty sure it's just down to biscuits really :o

As for me - I'm nine weeks today! Can't wait to get into double figures though, am so impatient. I had a letter when I got home from work with another scan appointment - this one is Monday 8th September and it's with the consultant I saw in my last pregnancy. She was really good so I'm more than happy to see her again but I'm a bit confused why it's so soon?! I'll have had four scans before I'm even 12 weeks! Hopefully it just means I'm going to be well looked after which suits me :)

Anyways, I hope everyone else is well and sorry to anyone I've missed. Take care x
  • Oh bless you Princess Kate, hopefully a goodnights sleep will help you feel better. I guess it's 'morning' sickness kicking in rather than a reflection on poor old Wills cooking ;) look after yourself x
  • Hehe, yes I did say it wasn't his cooking. Feeling rather sorry for myself though. It's the 2nd time I've been sick. Last time he'd made my toast, maybe we need to get the butler to do the cooking! :)
  • hugs princess kate.

and hugs for everyone who is living with other conditions which may or may not be complicated by being pregnant!

I'm having treatment for something completely un-pregnancy related, but I managed to speak to someone who then got someone to phone me back - the same day - and has reassured me that it's ok to continue having treatment while pregnant which is a big relief!

hugs and best wishes to anyone else with any news who I've forgotten about since starting to write this!!!! ;)

  • He he Princess Kate, that sounds like a good idea :)
On a more serious note - have some crisps! Crisps are always the first thing I fancy after being sick, I think you loose a lot of sodium being sick so the salty-ness helps! Or something like that. :o

Worth saying this is not medical advice, not sure doctors actually recommend crisps, but just my personal experience!

Hey newbies. Welcome and a huge congratulations to you. This forum has been great. I hope you get lots out of it too. Must say I am jealous both of you already have dates to see your midwife where as I'm still waiting 4 weeks on from finding out. (I promise I will stop moaning about it eventually).
  • Hello to all newbies! :hello: I'll have to do an update of the lists! Please let me know, both newbies and regulars, if you want to be added to the lists or details changed - it's a good way of seeing people's due dates and knowing when ladies have scans coming up so we can keep track - so if you want to be added then just post your estimated due date (it doesn't have to be totally accurate, they change quite often!) and if you have a significant date coming up, e.g. a scan date, and we can update every few days as the thread continues to grow :)

Tilly - I LOVE crisps at the moment!! I was always a crisp lover before but I would normally choose chocolate over crisps given the choice. Now though, crisps win hands down :p Glad to hear you've got a few scans coming up, that can only be a good thing.

Princess - I'm sorry to hear you were sick today, your poor OH may not want to cook again! I blame your stressful working day, that's no good for anyone let alone a pregnant woman :o bed rest is definitely in order!

Sorry to anyone I've missed, I can't believe how busy this thread has got recently! It's lovely though, and I'm finding that I'm checking a few times a day! I'll make the most of it before I'm back to work on Monday :p Why does that seem to come round so quickly, yet anything baby related just seems to drag!?
  • Aww thanks Missy Moo, you're becoming the lists lady! I have scans now on 8th and 15th September when you next do them.

Are you a teacher? Just with you saying you're back at work on Monday! That must be a shock to the system if you've had six weeks off!

It's crisps and biscuits for me at the mo, really healthy :o I think it's the dryness though, I feel a bit icky sometimes about food with a more sloppy consistency!
