Sorry I didn't mean to offend. It's just lots of talk of bleeding, cramps and worries. I really feel for you all.
I didn't think of it like that daisyegg, esp as my scans were for bleeding too but no where near like yours xx0 -

Hi ladies. On the subjects of early scans - I am considering getting on privately. The only reason is because at 8weeks I still have no symptoms at all and am driving myself (and OH) crazy with worry.
Do you think this is an over-reaction?
I don't know if I'm being dramatic and should just calm down and be grateful I don't have morning sickness.
Other than a +ve poas I wouldn't know!!0 -

Hi Carrot,
Me and the OH are looking at this right now- We are trying to book one in for a few weeks time.
I do have a few symptoms ( including progressively worsening nausea, not actually been sick yet, but it's only a matter of time), but am so keen to see that it is really true that I just can't wait.
I also want to tell a few people (parents and sisters) and feel better that I may have some photo evidence.
I know that early scans don't guarantee a thing, but I think I'm going to give it a try.
I don't think you are over-reacting at all, if it makes you feel better then it's worth it.0 -
Tink I hope your eldest is going to be helpful around the house if things get bad and that your little one is understanding
Carrot I am trying to book an early appointment. Have emailed one person for further info as their website is a bit vague but all others are further away. I think if you can afford it why not. Like you I would like to see it is real and not in my head!!0 -
So sorry to disagree with one of my thread buddies! But....having just had a horrible experience of quite a lot of bleeding at 17 weeks and having to wait from Thursday to Tuesday for a scan because they are so busy...please think carefully about trying to get a scan for no 'real' reason (I know worrying is really scary but I mean, without physical symptoms). It is terrible to have to wait ages when you are so worried because you are bleeding and I would hate to think I and others like me have to wait because there are people using the scan slots who don't actually 'need' them for a physical reason (though like I said I know worrying is very real, I was very worried for the first twelve weeks too!)
Hope no one minds me saying this, I really don't want to offend anyone. Has just been a horrible experience having to wait to be scanned after second trimester bleeding and I know they are already over stretched and under resources. Really sorry - hope no one gets offended
*de-lurking*
Daisiegg - I agree and for the same reasons. If the only symptom is worry it is fairer on everyone to go for a private scan so that those with planned scans and symptoms can get seen. Quite a few people get their 12 week scan at 13 weeks because of the wait. It's not fair but if everyone who worried went for scans when they worried the wait would be astronomical and we do have limited resources. Ironically reassuring worried people is not a long term solution for the worry. No one who has an early scan goes on to not worry again. It only works short term.Met DH to be 2010

Just saying hello. Will have a read back and see who everyone is
currently about 8/9 weeks but have a dating scan soon due to irregular periods and high risk pregnancy.
Feeling absolutely terrible, constant nausea, diarrhoea, evening sickness and cold chills. Hoping it is just normal? Didn't have this with my first.
Hope all are well x0 -
I feel awful,re the scan thing. I wasn't thinking of it that way, I just remember how much better I felt after my bleed and cramps. I didn't mean to offend anyone, I'm sorry!0

Don't feel bad monty-doggy. Hugs
Hello mr-knight, sorry you're having such a rubbish time of it. I read the early symptoms are usually done by week 14, so hope you're getting through the days ok.
carrot34, have you thought about doing another POAS? I'm no expert, but I think if you still have the pregnancy hormone levels for a positive result, you're still pregnant, if that's what you want to confirm.
I know having no feedback on how the pregnancy is going is frustrating. We live in a workd be get immediate responses to a lot of things, so waiting from POAS to 12 weeks for a scan seems like a loooooong time! I'm just trying to busy myself with other things.0 -
Don't worry Monty you were just trying to help x
Mr_knight sorry to hear you are suffering.
My lovely manager brought me in some of her old maternity clothes today. I only have a few bits from last time as mainly just wore leggings and dresses.0
