Hi I've just found out I'm pregnant. According to the NHS date calculator I'm about 6 weeks. I've got my first appointment with a midwife on Thursday and I'm both nervous and excited right now.

Love actually I feel the same, no symptoms. Spent last night looking up miscarriage and ended up in tears. My OH has told me to step away from Google, and if something has happened there is not much I can do about it. Try not to worry, I did read lots of stories of people with no symptoms who had healthy pregnancies or symptoms that started late.
I have my first midwife appointment this Thursday so think I will mention my anxieties then, I also have booked a private scan for next weekend, when I will either be 8 weeks pregnant or 7 due to my irregular cycles. When is your appointment? Are you able to have a private scan if it would help you?

Hello ladies,

I posted my BFP on the TTC thread just over a week ago but have been reluctant to join in case I tempted fate!

I am about 5w+5 and this will be my first baby. Due on 29th December. I had pain in my right side for the last two days and ended up being sent for a scan last night by the Out of Hours GP service. Everything was consistent with being 5 weeks pregnant with no sign of an ectopic, and I have to go back in a fortnight for another. Apart from the pain, I haven't had any other symptoms and feel quite normal.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone and sharing this experience.
