    Morning ladies.

    Hope you're ok tink.

I'm waiting for my mum to come to look after my little girl while I go for my scan. I've had no more blood or cramps so I'm hoping all is ok, just got to be positive! Feeling really nervous though! Will let you all know how it goes.

    How is everyone else today?

Hope you get some rest at home tinkwings.

Good luck for your scan today b_girl.

I know what you mean tia86, it feels s odd to beleft to your own devices for weeks without seeing a midwife, you start to wonder what's real and what's not.

Anyone else been getting really cold? I've had a feeling cold and nauseous thing going on. Came home early from work with a nausea/shiver/headache/dizziness combo. I feel so cold, I've put loads of layers on, I might have to sit in the sun. 7+5 and another 2 weeks to wait for the first midwife appointment. I have the group appointment thing next week, but I'm not really sure what that is.

Me I am freezing and having horrid chills similar to when you have flu. Not nice so you have my sympathy.

Had a scan, all was fine but I am seeing the consultant in two weeks again. Not sure if it is for another scan as I will only be 10 weeks. I M sure he mentioned the nucheal fold measurement but I could be wrong. Guess I will wait and see.

My bump seems to have ballooned over the weekend and I think I will struggle to keep it hidden at work. I feel really bloated too but then I still have diarhoea.

Think hope you are resting up.

    Hi everyone.

My scan showed that the baby was fine :) thank goodness. It was waving it's little arms and legs and heartbeat could be seen. I'm measuring 10+2 which is where I thought I'd be. They don't know why I had some blood, nothing was found on the scan. Just one of those things I suppose!

Tink - good luck for your scan tomorrow. Great you've been allowed home for a bit, time seems to stand still in hospitals.

Time flies - I've been getting really cold as well lately. DH thinks I'm mad, in the evening I'll have dressing gown and blankets on me! I thought pregnant women were meant to be boiling but with this pregnancy and my last I just get chillier if anything.

Hope everyone else is doing well :)

Tink - hope you got lots of rest today, hope scan is ok tomorrow

Timeflies - yes I seem to be cold too, keep putting the mini heater on at work, surely not right in May!! Hope the group appointment thing goes ok next week, sounds a little odd doing a group thing so early on

Mr Knight - hope you can keep bump disguised until willing to reveal. I feel totally bloated too, some days I feel like I look massive, but in reality think it is just wind!! Out of interest, is there a reason you have a consultant appointment? Sorry if personal, it just seems that there is lots of variation in what people are going to what with timeflies and the group appointments and you seeing a consultant, just wondered what the sequence was

b_girl - glad the scan went well and baby was at the week expected. Strange about the blood, but glad its nothing to worry about and they could not see anything. Will you have another scan at 12 weeks?

Mr_knight - i don't think they can do the nuchal fold measurement till over 11 weeks to be accurate. Glad your scan went well.

I keep getting cold too, blankets are a must.

Yes she said to still come along for my proper dating scan. Hubby was unable to come today so he's looking forward to my 12 week scan :)

Great to hear your scan went well b_girl - how lovely to see arms and legs waving!

It's good to hear I'm not the only one shivering with cold! Without wanting to talk to people in real life until the pregnancy is further along, and it being my first time, I do wonder if I'm imagining what's pregnancy-related.

I don't think I have a bump yet (7+2, don't know where I got 7+5 from earlier today), so I'm kind of thinking of wearing some of my favourite dresses before my middle prevents it! I think people at work could well have put two and two together, with the fact that I have doctors' appointments lined up and was looking so rough today. A colleague last week had 3 hours off in the middle of the day for a doctor's appointment, and I thought midwife slot straight away, which it was!

I'm really now sure what the group thing next week is for, it's my first antenatal appointment and it's "for new mums", dads not invited. I'm guessing it might be general advice re exercise, food etc. The appointment the following week was described as going over family history and taking blood for tests, and OH is invited.

Anyone got any tips for being productive at work while feeling awful? I don't want to tell anyone before the 12 week scan, but concentrating with a headache and shivers and nausea is pretty difficult!

Hope everyone is well today ..... had a tiny bit of brown spotting so have a scan today ( 6 +3) as I've had 4 miscarriages I am allowed to self refer.
