Less than 12 weeks pregnant club! Part 4!!

Hello ladies,

Could I nervously join in please? I got my BFP last Friday so very early days (5w 4d?)

I had a miscarriage (little boy at 21 weeks, he lived for 4 hours) last year.

Went to the Drs yesterday and he's sorting us with an early scan.

I don't know how I feel, obviously happy but not nearly as worried as I thought, maybe I'm distancing myself a bit? Perhaps my expectations are low?

Hope that didn't sound too glum as I really don't feel that way

So sorry to hear about your little boy. I think it's understandable that you are feeling apprehensive given the circumstances. Hopefully you'll have your scan soon.

Yay tink! Definitely looks like a real baby now. Hope all continues to go well, is it 10 weeks you are at?

Have another scan in just under three weeks so will be 9+1 .... I still have ostrich syndrome over it as my heart has been broken so many times ... my first hurdle will be get to 12 weeks and then the tests as I'm over 40 now. Such a roller coaster eh x

Hi Tia, yes there is I take medication for a heart condition which could affect baby. Benefit vs risk and I need to take it so I am being monitored. I thought I would have gone back at 12 weeks and I am a bit confused as to why I am going at 10. I too thought nucheal fold measurement couldn't be taken so early. Maybe he just wants to check growth. I don't know. Find out soon enough

Glad there has been some nice scan news and the scan pic is lovely. I have one but not very clear unfortunately. On the screen it was but not printed out

Anyway bath and bed I think, had a very stressful busy day night all.

Ohhhh I feel so horrible this morning I have to go to London for work in an hour or so and the thought of sitting on a train, then tube, then doing a presentation in a boiling hot room is not filling me with joy. I feel even sicker just thinking about it.

Sorry for the whinge, just wish I could go back to bed! If I was working in the office today I just wouldn't bother going in, I'd work from home and stay in my jammies all day.

Also I'm thinking of coming clean to the colleague I'll be working with today, there are only two of us in a little team and he is lovely and at least he'd be able to cover for me if I had to go out for air or something. I don't think I'd mind too much as I'm 11 weeks today so it's not very early days anymore. The only other person at work I've told is my boss (also male) who is a sweetheart and has said nothing to anyone else but has been great when I've come in late or needed time off for stuff. Have you ladies told work colleagues/bosses yet?

I feel for you angeltreats, I couldn't do that.

I've been off sick from work for two weeks tomorrow. Including a stint in hospital. I've got hyperemesis and am really struggling. I don't think it will be long before I'm back in there for rehydration. I'm pretty much not eating. And I'm so frightened that my lack of eating and dehydration is going to harm the baby.

Hope everyone else is faring better than me.

Hope it goes ok Angel. I hate the tube, always walk from euston to my work.

I have told my direct manager and telling my next boss up next week as my manager is on holiday the week of my scan so need him to know.

Mouthscradle - you poor thing . Have you tried ice lollies, at least they would help keep you hydrated. Placenta doesn't take over for a few weeks and even then baby will take what it needs so don't worry.

Angeltreats hope you manage to get through the meeting ok, it's no fun feeling so poorly and having to do things like that.

mouthscradle sorry you're feeling so ill. Are you taking a pregnancy vitamin, I know it's not better than healthy eating but at least it would be boosting up your vitamin intake. Hope you feel better soon.

8+1 today and dont know why but really worried and anxious if anything is happening inside or not. I am so exhausted all the time. I have to work evenings on Tuesday and thursday until 8 pm and I am dreading todays evening class.

I dont want to book a private scan as I have concieved through IVF you guys can imagine how many internal scans I have had and I am just fed up of internal scans now. I will just wait for May 23rd for my 12 weeks scan.
