Happy Friday all! Even though this week was short it still felt like it dragged!

Is there any reason to worry that at 7weeks I don't have any symptoms? Apart from the +ve test I wouldn't know. My breasts aren't tender and I have no sickness. At about 4-5weeks I had some lightheadedness but that's now gone. I'm a little tired (but that could be due to oh talking in his sleep).

Trust me - I don't want all the horrible symptoms but just thought I would at least have something.

Carrot, minimal symptoms are as common as symptoms from what I have seen online. In the 'dedicated' baby forums, like babyandbump and mumsnet, there are always threads with ladies asking exactly the same thing. Babycentre is also good as they have a board for each month (so you'd be in the December board I assume) and it's helpful to have lots of other stressed women asking the same questions!

Funny you mention dizzyness though. I had that for 2-3 days just around when I got my BFP at 4-5 weeks. Only happened those few days, but was the first real sign for me that something different was happening. I never had morning sickness, just the odd bit of nausea when I was very tired after work, and general fatigue.

How was your scan today SewIt?

Glad you enjoyed your scans Loveactually and monty-doggy.

I was annoyed by something this afternoon, and disproportionately upset by it. Trying to snap myself out of the sulk! Not sure if I can blame this on hormones too... ;)

Yes 5+4 does mean that but in reality it's since your last period so you could only have conceived a week or two ago but this is how they calculate the whole pregnancy :)

Hi everyone, thanks very much for the good wishes.

Scan went well in that there is nothing wrong with baby, very lively and kicking about. They did find the source of the bleeding though, it's a clot inside the womb. It's covering the cervix but is outside the sack the baby is in and is not near the placenta. So I'll continue to bleed and I have just to keep an eye on it and let them know if it gets worse. (Which its not in two weeks so hoping it won't)

So we are not 100% out the woods still but trying not to be too worried. I'll probably make my way over to the 12-24 weeks thread now, thank you for all your support ladies.

Congrata Gelly, nice to see you here!

Quick question ladies and apols in advance if this is TMI - just popped to the loo before bed and I noticed a bit of brown blood on the paper like before or after a period - is that normal or should I get it checked out? It's still really early and I've not had any cramping so I'm worried as I didn't get anything like that last time

    Thanks in advance

Just delurking to reply to Gelly...from what I have understood, brown blood is not usually a worry as it is old blood - could have just been dislodged and decided to come out. I think lots of people get a bit of brown spotting at the beginning. However given your past experience it would be completely understandable to be a bit twitchy so if I were you I would keep an eye on it and if it becomes red/pink maybe call your GP for advice. Good luck xx

Monty and SewIt - glad your scans went well, SewIt hope everything stays ok

Carrot - not sure I have any symptoms yet such as sickness and tenderness, I am only 6 weeks though. Have also consulted Google which seems to think its normal. I do however keep getting bad cramps and bloating - am sure I look massive

Gelly - I would mention it to someone, not sure who though as not that familiar yet with appointments and who to speak to.

I managed to bring forward my first midwife appointment for 2 weeks time rather than the 4 week wait I had. This will make me around 8 weeks, so feeling a bit happier now...though in my head I still keep thinking I have to make it that far first. Not handed in the cover form yet for my appointment in case I don't need it (I work in a school so have to tell them if not in though going to try and keep quiet about why I am going to the doctors). Am I the only one being so negative???

Also, I hesitated about posting this in case I upset you...so please don't take this the wrong way...but you are so early, I doubt there would be much they would do/say. I don't think there would be anything to see on a scan yet. If your period came on now or in the next week or so I think it would count as a chemical pregnancy not even a mc :( Lots of people don't even know they are pregnant for at least another week. So I know it is horrible but I think sitting tight is all there is to do for now. But hopefully be reassured that brown blood is not necessarily a bad thing at all as it is old, not fresh. So fingers crossed that everything will be just fine!
