Hi Ladies,

Wondered if I can join- I got my BFP on Good Friday so just starting to take it all in really. I think I'm around 4 + 4 based on my ovulation date.

I collected my pregnancy pack from the docs yesterday but am waiting on my call from the midwife which is booked in for next Tuesday.

Can I just ask anyone if it is normal to be so very very tired this early on? I know the websites and information said you can be tired but I am absolutely exhausted even when I sleep I feel like I haven't.
I thought this would kick in a bit later on- I guess I will have to start going to bed a bit earlier.

Congratulations and welcome!
I've been exhausted for the full first 12 weeks, it's different person to person but don't worry just get plenty of rest and keep hydrated. I was going to bed at 7.30 every night until last week!

Glad the scan went well Ali, hope that you remain healthy and happy in the coming weeks.

Boat-girl - I cant imagine what you must be going through. All the best and will be thinking of you on Thursday.

Monty - how is it going with your work now? did you hear anything from the HR?

AFM - 6 weeks today and my early pregnancy scan is tomorrow. All this days I was not thinking about it and now starting to worry about what they will say tomorrow.

Also I called to my GP after I got my BFP but they said I have to self refer my self to the maternity unit I did that around 10 days back and still did not hear anything from them. Should I be calling them or is this delay common?

Hi Ladies,
Not got very good news to report, I had an extra scan today. The unit in Birmingham who do the tests are really oversubscribed so I was asked to have a scan today and the baby has died, I was expecting it to a certain extent but nothing really prepares you for this. One blessing I guess is we don't have to make the horrible decision now. I have to go back in tomorrow to discuss options.

Boat girl I'm so so sorry for your loss but glad you are now at peace with the awful decisions that would have lay ahead. Everything happens for a reason and this little one just wasn't meant to be. Take some comfort knowing that the pain and agony is taken away, and when the time is right you can try again.

Loveactually I've not heard anything back yet, my sick note has been sent and the full grievance yesterday so they will have received today.
I'm just glad to be away from there!
