Boatgirl - what a massive thing to comprehend and decide on. Definitely do what is best for you.

Monty - it is a massive nightmare with your work but that is good you have a sick note. The stress can't be doing you any good.

Mouthscradle - that is good, hope scan goes well on Friday.

The tiredness seems to have hit me this weekend. Was my DD's 3rd birthday yesterday so we had a little party and seems to have wiped me out!

Happy easter all! It's great to have an excuse to eat chocolate but I haven't been interested in eating any. I don't have any aversion to foods it's just the last week I havent felt interested/wanting to eat. Never hungry and having to make myself eat. It's very un-like me.

Boat-girl - thoughts are with you. I think the way you are thinking is how I may think in that situation. I think we all need to do what is best for ourselves.

I have a query I hope you may have some ideas about.
It is a very good friends wedding in 2weeks - all our closest friends will be there and these are the people we spend many of our weekends with.
My concern is around concealing the pregnancy without being obvious. I am known to enjoy a drink or two (or a lot more) so need to figure out how to be myself and not be obvious I'm not drinking.
I am not prepared to tell people yet (will be 8weeks at the wedding).

If anyone has any suggestions I would welcome them.

Carrot I went to a works do the day after I got my BFP. I drank two glasses of white wine but in between those I drank Schloer. Nobody even noticed. You could have a white wine spritzer. Depends if you will be going for zero drinks or are comfortable having one? What do you normally drink? Some are easier to fake than others lol.

Carrott, could you tell your friends you are on antibiotics?
  • Carrot, i went skiing the day after my bfp and pulled the antibiotic lie. Worked like a charm. I prob would've been alright having a couple of shandies but that wouldn't have been an option with the group I was with! :)

Hope you are all enjoying the Easter break I had a craft fair on Friday and ended up being in the local paper :).

Our house is full of chocolate !! I think we have at least 20 eggs and I can't face eating any of them !!

Antibiotics works for me too - although I've pulled out of a work night out in early May because they all know me too well to even believe the antibiotics story. Plus it will be a very drinky night and not fun for anyone having to stay sober. I've made up a story about having visitors instead.

    Alternatively make sure you're driving!

We've had the inlaws down for the last four nights, which coincided with me starting to feel absolutely horrible with nausea that lasted most of the day. I booked Easter Sunday lunch in a nice restaurant and then had to send my husband with his parents while I stayed home because I couldn't bear the thought of being near food. All I seem to fancy is pot noodles which normally I can't stand! They have left this morning and I have to admit I'm relieved, I love them but could really have done without anyone staying this weekend as I felt so poo.

8+4 today. 3 1/2 weeks until the magic 12 weeks, it seems so far away.

We were at a wedding a week ago and I think I got away with it. My close family know anyway. I took a glass of the champagne etc and just had a sip and swapped it with my sisters nearly empty glass when no-one was looking lol.

I have got a work lunch on Wednesday and they are notoriously boozy so trying to think of an excuse. Think I might tell my manager anyway as she is a friend and hopefully she can think of a good excuse!
