So pleased for you tink, I have been reading and following most days just not really posting.
Thank you all x x I can hope for it be a mistake but with 3 indicators it seems likely. Have been reading everything I can and although it's hard not to blame myself it does seem to be a spontaneous event. I am only 32 so naively thought this normally happened to those over 40 but that doesn't appear to be the case. I think it will all depend on what disorder it is and by the sound of it we may not get to decide anyway as the heart being so poor they want to scan me before the cvs to see if there is any point in doing it. Totally agree with you Monty but it's so hard to not think what others will think of you. I am also very worried about the impact on my little girl and how having a very disabled child would limit her life. My head is just all over the place, hopefully by next Thursday we will have thought things through a bit better.0 -
Good afternoon ladies! I just wanted to de-lurk properly, I posted a few weeks ago when I had my BFP but I've received a letter today with my scan date, so thought I'd add myself to the list.
I've been very fortunate so far, no symptoms other than 2 stinking colds (I'm never ill usually) and slightly sore boobs! Sending hugs out to all of you who are having a far more difficult time XXX

I totally get it's hard to think what others think of you, but those that matter won't judge you, and those that do don't matter.
How does your oh feel? Xx0 -
Boat girl - you have my sympathy and hugs. There is a charity called ARC (Google them as I don't know the exact web address) who specialise in helping parents who are facing a diagnosis like yours. They have a help line so it might be worth giving them a call tomorrow. Don't worry a thing about other people, no one else can even imagine what you are facing or the decision you may have to make. Focus on what is right for you and your family. Xxx0

Boat girl I am so sorry to hear your news. Can't even begin to imagine how your head must be spinning right now. Please don't blame yourself, nature can be cruel sometimes and there's usually nothing any of us can do about it.
Thanks to everyone who replied about my cramps. I decided to chance a visit to the epau today on the off chance they'd see me. Ended up being there for 5 hours. They poked and prodded and took samples, then did an internal scan. They couldn't see any sign of a baby but said that's normal as it's so early so doesn't necessarily mean anything bad. They saw signs in my uterus that suggest pregnancy and a cyst on my ovary that suggests the same. The doctors are completely confused about what my pain is and why it's coming and doing, and mainly why it's so strong sometimes. I said I didn't know if it was normal to have some pain at this stage and they said no. They took bloods and I have to go for repeat bloods on Saturday. So visit to my parents is postponed until Saturday afternoon.
The sonographer said they'll probably scan again in a week and keep scanning until they can see and confirm that baby is where it should be, as they're still concerned about ectopic as the pain is worse on the right. But doctor didn't mention any follow up scan so will see what happens I guess.Mother, wife, scientist, analyst.

I stupidly made the mistake of googling corpus luteum cysts and ended up reading lots of upsetting stories about what happens if they rupture in pregnancy instead of just reducing and fading. Why is this so stressful lol I thought these weeks would be the easy ones!Mother, wife, scientist, analyst.

Just saw this and had to delurk! I think the first 12 weeks are the most stressful and I ended up having double the stress so over 24 weeks as I fell pregnant got to 12 weeks, had a diagnosed missed miscarriage at nearly ten weeks and then fell pregnant after (bizarre thing was the first time round we were trying conciously but the 2nd time it was more of a 'hug' that led to more as I was so upset).
Don't google - just don't or try not to! After my miscarriage that is all I did, statistics and read about the chances of it happening again, why it had happened, what I could of done to have made it happen etc. I kept well away from google when I knew I was pregnant again but getting to that 12 weeks the first time round seemed like an age but this time it felt like it took a year.
After 12 weeks it has totally flown by! These last few weeks I keep thinking about how fast its gone since the 12 week point.
I will go back to lurking and sleeping.....(if you are tired now then that comes back as well!)3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:

delurking also to say mouthscradle I don't know what a corpus lupeum cyst is (and I'm not googling!) but at my 12 week scan they found a cyst on my ovary, they said sometimes it can be where the egg has been released but usually it's gone by the 12 week scan. they said they would check on it at my 20 week scan. I worried and worried about it but when I had my 20 week scan they said it had all but disappeared. so hopefully yours could be something similar? just thought id share my experience anyway x
