Ladies can I just ask, did any of you have period-like cramps early on? By my dubious calculations I'm only about 5+5 but for a few days last week I was convinced AF was coming as I had exactly the same sort of pains, and again today on and off I've had the same thing. The internet says it's normal (I know I shouldn't be googling symptoms) but has anyone had similar?

Also so tired today despite having done very little.

Angeltreats - you are mirroring my early weeks. From about 4 weeks onwards I had period style cramps for a good few weeks (2/3? already seems hard to remember how long). I spent most of that time fighting the urge to go to the loo and do a knicker check. Weeks 3/4-10 were mostly spent in bed. I'm fighting sleep now at 8.30 and it's a rare and giddy night when I've made it to 10pm.

FYI (not sure it happened for everyone) but I also got some odd stretching pains later on in my groin area and now I get a funny left sided pain.

Was my EDD today for baby I "lost" last year. Had a lovely day at whittle bury hall day spa with a friend, was very relaxing and managed to keep my mind free of negative thoughts.

    Trying to stay positive,

Good to hear of people with their good scans xx

My thoughts are with you ttc39 - take care of yourself :grouphug:

  • Had my 12 week scan today, due date has now changed to 4th October. As I'm 13+3 guess it's about time I moved up a list - hope to see you all there soon :)

Scan was pretty amazing really, although I was really overwhelmed and really needing a pee!!! The first thing she found was a fibroid which means I'll have to see a consultant at my 20-week scan, they don't think it should affect the baby or me though thankfully - might affect being able to have a homebirth, will know more after 20-weeks.

Baby is doing well, although was a complete wriggle monster and wouldn't get into the right position for the sonographer - me thinks that s/he is going to be a handful - not listening to authority runs in the family!!! Skull and spine looked good, as did heartbeat, brain, two arms, two legs, hands, feet, we could even see facial features - amazing! I just spent the whole time holding my wife's hand, magic moment. She had a much better view than me - not fair :) As we'd already told family, close friends, and work colleagues we've Facebook-announced it today - response overwhelming! Sent scan pictures to grandparents, aunties and closest friends first though!!! Have really struggled to concentrate this afternoon - this baby-stuff is getting more real huh!?

Go FallenArcher! I agree it's been the shining light of doubt and fear to actually see there's someone in there and so far so good. I'm just tracking back through for the lsit and I'll take us both off if you like? See you up there in a mo!

  • Thank you all for your support. I received a letter today stating the hr manager is going to be conducting an 8 week probationary review on Friday, and to discuss my conduct performance and behaviour and to make a decision regarding my continued employment with the company.

Part of me just wants to leave and get a part time job. I'm going to have to do that when baby comes anyway.

    I'm so fed up.

I feel like I want to say something very rude about your company but wouldn't want to offend others.

Completely understand why you would want to leave. Remind me - have you been there long enough for mat leave? If no mat leave can understand why you'd jump ship but feel like if you do get mat leave you should stay to get what you can and good luck to them firing a pg woman

I guess ten pregnancy tests can't be wrong! I did another digi today and have gone up to 3+ weeks. That's it, I'm not testing again. I mean it. So I might as well go on the list :D

My EDD according to NHS website is 29 November but that's a rough estimate as I'm not sure of the date of my last AF and my cycles can be a bit irregular.

Monty can't believe that you've suddenly got a review. I completely understand as I'm just looking forward to mat leave and working out how soon I can leave after going back lol. I agree with MrsCtobe get in before the hr meeting and explain things before the review.

Angeltreats prepare yourself for all manner of "magical" pains and cramps over the next few months! In all seriousness I was the same and on several occasions was absolutely convinced AF was on the way leading to some serious bouts of knicker twitching but all turned out to be ok. I had quite agonising pains which doubled me over at a few points as well which turned out to just be round ligament pains. Please try not to worry I know its so hard not to x

No I don't qualify. My lovely OH has told me to just find a pt job. We are going to sell our car and get a cheaper one. This will save us £250 on finance a month and means we won't have to worry. He said he wants me to be well and happy and doesn't care if we have less money and a crappy car.

I feel better knowing I have his full support :)
