Hi purcy, I'll head on over once I'm released.

Today went fine, in quite a lot of pain now but it is improving. Feels like a long night ahead and no visitors until 3pm tomorrow! Currently there is one woman watching a blaring movie, and someone having a shouty conversation in Spanish!

Does anyone have fibroids? I have one that I knew about but it seems to be bothering everyone now! It blocked the scan yesterday, so it had to be partially internal and today the surgeon said he had to work around it as it is exactly where he wanted to put the cerclage. I love the way they make it sound like it's something I've put there by choice.

Anyway, all good so far. Will be here until Sunday at least, possibly Monday.

Sorry no personals, I'm pretty hazy but hope everyone is ok and welcome to the newbies.

Thanks lilmiss, it does help knowing someone else has had a successful pregnancy but you're right I won't stop worrying. We're going back for another scan in 2 weeks to check everything is still OK. I've had pain today but thankfully only a tiny bit of brown spotting.

Arg0s are having a sale on baby items so I've reserved myself a set of pregnancy pillows half price.

T2D, I'm glad you are awake and well. Was the operation a success? Why would you put a fibroid in the way when they're trying to operate on you - tut tut. I hope you have an 1pad or something to keep you entertained.

  • Glad all four of you are ok t2d and peonie! What a couple of days for you both. Hope you're on the mend soon t2d and glad the hospital are keeping an eye on you peonie. Xx
  • t2d - glad to hear the op appears to have gone well despite your determination to scupper things by popping fibroids where they are not wanted. I am concerned you did not have your surgeon uppermost in your mind when plotting this.

2 sleeps to go assuming I can sleep. What kind of time is this on a Saturday?

purcy - might be quiet now but there are 8 of us due to graduate within the next 2 weeks so enjoy the quiet while you can. What is it with us and our early October due dates?!

Speaking of which, those with children already, how on earth do you survive pg if you can't just indulge yourself? I have found it hard enough working at a job which at least doesn't expect me to get in the middle of night if it's sick or do its washing.
