Alioops - if you don't mind me asking (ignore if you do) is the genetic specialist midwife for your neuro condition, the baby or both of you? Hadn't heard of this kind of job before.
Congratulations and welcome teaandcake
Lummy lordy me I am next scan I think on Monday aka 4 sleeps. Flip flip heck heck. My friend said the build up to scans are the worst and the moment of the best (obs when everything is perfect like t2d)
Ho hum.
I agree scans are so stressful in the leadup! After is lovely but I need to stop letting myself get so worked up. Apparently one of my friends told DH she had lots of optional scans, including some private ones. She was very stressed after a MMC and decided that the odd £50 was much better spent on a reassurance scan than a dinner out!
Welcome teaandcake, you and teaandcakesordeath will get on I'm sure.
I'm moving to Oz because I'm Australian. I was never meant to be here so long. I moved over in 2006, DH is english and I met him here. I planned to have kids and go back, but the having kids part has taken a few years longer than planned! My family is over there too.0 -
t2d, I'm so happy for you and DH, wonderful news x
littlemissreading fingers crossed for your scan!
I think my daughter might be psychic, I haven't mentioned my positive test to her or in front of her, but tonight she said at bed time "You'll hardly fit in my bed when you have your baby in your tummy, and how will I hug you??"Working my butt off to buy the house of my dreams!0 -

It's for me as there's no telling how pregnancy is going to affect me so definitely playing it safe which is making me happy and DH too.
My Mum is worrying about me too so it's put her mind at rest that I'm going to be taken care of as my family are in Oz so worry more about me than a 35 year old should be worried about but I am the baby :rotfl:I'm moving to Oz because I'm Australian. So glad to read how your day went.
Whereabouts in Oz are you from? I was born in the UK but we emigrated to Perth in 1982 and after a tumultuous time I decided to come over here in 2006 for a year but met my hubby and decided to stay. I miss it and my family heaps, my friends and in laws do make up for not having my close family here but its difficult on birthdays, Christmas and times when I really need them (like now) and especially when I use Aussie slang and no one understands me:rotfl:.
Welcome teaandcakeaddict sorry I missed you before but how  for your daughter to say that.DEBTS ARE BEING DEALT WITH AS BEST WE CAN:heart: Married my prince on 27/08/2011Baby Girl born 21/10/14:D:D:D:D

I was born in Dublin and we moved to Sydney in 1986 (aged 9). My mum is also over there worrying about me, but we keep in touch everyday via whatsapp. Thankfully my husband is keen to go over and he just got his spouse visa the other day. We will go as soon as we feel ready later in the year or early next year. Trying not to put pressure on ourselves, although I'd so love to be over there with the family!0

That's great news T2D. You're sneaky not telling us if it's a boy or a girl. Why don't you tell us if it's a pink or blue one?
Welcome Tea...Addict.
AFM, we had a big shock this morning. I went to the bathroom and had a lost some thick red blood - a lot more than spotting. I was scared it was the start a MC. I phoned the hospital and had a scan first thing this morning. When the nurse said everything was fine I cried with relief.
Mr P said at first mini me was still so he thought the news was bad, then it waved its arm and started bouncing around. Tonight he's been recreating it for me as I could not see the screen. Later I did see mini P and saw the heart beating - which was wonderful. It's now 5.75cm and my due date has been brought forward by one day to the 7th Oct. Next weeks scan's been cancelled as the nurse did everything today she was going to check and I had more blood tests taken. We should find out the downs results in the next 2 weeks. And we've got 3 more pictures.

So glad all is well. Must have been a shock. Stay positive, your baby bean is obviously a tough cookie

Gosh what a shock! Our bodies are full of random surprises. Did they find a reason for it?0
-
No reason. On the phone the nurse said it can be caused by doing the deed or strenuous activity. And I've been doing neither. Some earlier spotting was caused by the former and as it was very painful I've been wearing a chastity belt since.
To celebrate the good news we bought mini me its first teddy.
Good luck for your operation tomorrow and you forgot to say if it's a pink or blue one... he he.Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120
