Um... tenatative hi from me :) After being told we needed ICSI, I've had a very unexpected BFP this morning. Totally out of the blue, I had no idea, I don't even know really why I POAS but there you go!

I'm not sure I'm ready to be properly part of this thread but thought I should pop in and say hello.

I don't know when we should move - it's nice and safe here. I've not even looked at the next thread. Is there a second trimester one? WTDN, are you going to move over now or wait for your scan?

How have I been put a day ahead of you when mine is smaller? Twins can be born on different days, just slightly before and after midnight.

We both will be lucky if it's born on time. Most ladies I know have gone over with their first.
ETA: :doh:I've remembered you're having a c-section so you'll know exactly when lilac baby is arriving.

Howdy - opinion on moving up to next thread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4890409 which is here.

For me, assuming all is well on Monday, that I will come back in the evening, update you guys on how it went and then gracefully move up I hope. I think quite a few of us judging from list above will have done this by the end of the first week of April. Might be time to start a new thread at that point if anyone is brave enough? We're going to be in 100s by then! I will then be posting on 12-24 weeks but frequently popping back and delurking as I always found it helpful to hear from others further on about their experiences.

Other people like TCOD have got to know people on TTC thread and wants to move up with them so sticking with us newbies for now.

I can see how either option works - whatever suits.

Congratulations angeltreats. You and teaandcakeaddict can decide to add yourselves whenever feels right or ready. Some do straight away, others have waited 8 weeks. Really up to you.

Happy Friday and hope there are those like me who are now in sight of the weekend!

I'm going to get through today and then move on up I hope. Random fact of the day - mse is blocked on the hospital WiFi network! Obviously some nefarious mse activity going on here. :)

Yeah Angeltreats - that is amazing news! Congrats! Maybe it was the pitruity glad thing all along (if I remember right from the TTC thread?)

T2D - amazing news about the scan, massive congrats that everything is well. Such a sense of relief. Is your op today?

Peonie - what a horrible shock for you. I am so pleased that baby is well. Great that the hospital saw you so quickly.

Re IVF twins, I remember the weekend when you guys and WTDN all got your BFPs! That was an amazing w'end!

Lilmiss - how are you feeling about Monday, only 3 sleeps to go.

Thanks for all the tips on bras, will go shopping this weekend. Also re mat leave chat from earlier, I also earn more than my DH. His income would not quite cover the bills. My work has a pretty decent mat leave policy so I am hoping to take 9 months though they will be a very frugal 9 months! In the meantime we are trying to finish renovations to the house, pay off the last of our debt and save a wee pot of cash so I can do lots of classes and mummy lunches during mat leave. Fingers crossed we can achieve it all!

Hello ladies :j I wondered if I could provisionally join your thread, please?

I had a surprise BFP on Tuesday evening and think I'm now about 6 weeks pregnant, I've got an appointment booked with the midwife on Monday.

I like to be very organised and research anything & everything I do, Hubby & I were hoping to start trying for a family at the end of this year, so I feel slightly caught on the hop and lacking in knowledge!

Obviously very early days but thought I'd say hello before I lurk!
  • Peonie, so glad all is well. I had a bleed with my second, they said it was caused by a cervical abbrasion. Pregnancy is such a worrying time.

I've got cramps today, I know it's fairly normal but I keep expecting AF to rear its ugly head any minute. Think I might have to do another test, yes I know I'm a maniac!
Working my butt off to buy the house of my dreams!

That's great news T2D. You're sneaky not telling us if it's a boy or a girl. Why don't you tell us if it's a pink or blue one?

    Welcome Tea...Addict.

AFM, we had a big shock this morning. I went to the bathroom and had a lost some thick red blood - a lot more than spotting. I was scared it was the start a MC. I phoned the hospital and had a scan first thing this morning. When the nurse said everything was fine I cried with relief.

Mr P said at first mini me was still so he thought the news was bad, then it waved its arm and started bouncing around :). Tonight he's been recreating it for me as I could not see the screen. Later I did see mini P and saw the heart beating - which was wonderful. It's now 5.75cm and my due date has been brought forward by one day to the 7th Oct. Next weeks scan's been cancelled as the nurse did everything today she was going to check and I had more blood tests taken. We should find out the downs results in the next 2 weeks. And we've got 3 more pictures.

    Relief.

Peonie-no idea how I missed this.SO SORRY to hear about a stressful experience but so glad to hear it's turned out alright. When I was lurking on the next thread up, I noticed a poster (Mrs I I think) talk about bleeding through her pregnancy and someone (claire something) posted that she bled throughout her pregnancy but had just given birth this week to full term healthy baby girl. Know this is not going to stop worry but wasn't sure if a good story would help.

    Welcome Cazza

AFM I am exhausted. Been asleep already and not long before I go back under.

Three sleeps to go until the scan... or :j
