    Seventh Anniversary Combo Breaker
Hi ladies, am I finally popping over from the TTC board to join you all!

A little about me, DH and I have been TTC since Oct 2011 and finally after a second round of IVF, we got our BFP! We found out back at the end of Feb, but I have been too scared to post here and to believe it really, since its been such a tough road to get here. When we were TTC'ing it felt like pg was something that happened to other people, not to me (and DH) so its been hard to believe it really, and not to think that its all a big joke that wasn't funny.

(I am not sure if that will make any sense to people who have not had a struggle to get pg, but hoping that some of the TTC'ers from the 12+ thread will understand?!)

Anyway, great news from our 8 week scan yesterday, one little baby, perfect size, wee heart beating away! So, I feel quite reassured and am now ready to join you all! :j

A massive hi :hello: to Peonie, T2D, WTTN and TACOD from the TTC thread! So nice to see you were all thinking of me! I was keeping an eye on you all and am delighted that everything is progressing well for you! It is lovely to see our names on the graduates list from the TTC thread! Like T2D I am hoping that all of the ladies on there will graduate to this thread, hopefully soon as there are loads of ladies cycling at the moment.

Hi to everyone else too, its lovely to read how the pg's are progressing and seeing the good things we have to look forward too.

I am sure I will have loads of questions and am looking forward to sharing this amazing journey with you all:D

Yay! Welcome Sewit. Fantastic news about the 8 week scan. It's impossible to believe for a while isn't it. It's still impossible to believe if I'm honest. :)

SewIt - welcome and congratulations on your BFP. I can't possibly imagine what your journey has been like as were fortunate that it was not difficult for us. I certainly feel a sense of unreality however, that it was easy and as we have not required any scans yet, I find to hard to truly believe we could have been so lucky and there is someone in there who I hope is ok. I have updated the list with Tinkwings scan for whenever you feel ready to add yourself. Glad your 8 week scan went well.

    Mrs C :money:respect

T2D - good luck with your results. Does that mean the op is on Friday? The one where you have arranged a month off sick?

FallenArcher - good luck with house stuff! We moved in our first home together last month following a massive amount of work on it. Therefore we were still meant to be unpacking but all I was good for in Feb was putting myself in bed and eating [STRIKE]ginger biscuits ice cream crisps starchy carbs[/STRIKE] healthy food for a healthy pg. I too am a control freak and I have just had to accept doing things little and often and more slowly rather than beating myself up for not having it ALL done now. Even now we still have things I need to do. It's been worth it just required me to think differently about how I was going to do it.

  • OMG. During the course of dinner noticed my tummy becoming full quickly and my old familiar left sided pain came on. Sure enough on checking my tummy it is HUMONGOUS compared to this morning. To the extent that my bellybutton has popped. THAT much bigger. Eating liquorice for all I'm worth...

Yay, welcome SewIt. I'm really happy to see you here and to hear your scan went well. Our 12 week scan is the week after so I won't be disappearing for another 9 days.

WTDN, I think we're now at different hospitals so I won't be able to look around the waiting room as try to guess which is you. I'm a bit embarrassed to say, because of the price, but we're planning to get a Bugaboo cameleon. Our friends said that although the initial outlay was high their friends had spent more replacing prams and buggies in the long run. Plus it's very easy to maneuver and some of the others look a lot more bulky. I'm not getting it because some celebrities have one.

When is this acne going to go! I've not overate today which is good considering I've put on 1.5kgs in 5 weeks.

T2D, is your doppler picking up anything?

Your belly button has popped out?

I want a baby bump! NOW!
  • Your belly button has popped out?

I want a baby bump! NOW!

If it was genuine bump and not due to gas I'd be more excited! Still I can pretend can't I?! If I'm lucky it'll be gone by tomorrow morning...

Nope. Tried again on sunday but no luck. Too much belly in the way. *blush*. Find my own easy enough, which is fascinating in itself. I really should have worked a bit harder and gone into medicine like I wanted to - I do find all this stuff endlessly fascinating.

Dinner belly had returned too. Time for prune juice!
