Hey realised I got my scan date wrong - only by one day so not worth updating list for.
But it means I'm having scan same date aß you Peonie- 3/4.
Going back to the women's hospital for this, so that will be good. Last time I went to the ultrasound clinic there I was the infertile surrounded by pregnant people who was going in to have her uterus examined. Will be bearing this in mind.
At 13 weeks baby will be a bit bigger!0 -
What's your travel system peonie (if you don't mind)?
JL have some lovely gender neutral baby clothes for people who arènt going to find out the sex. But pricey though!!0 -
I'm hoping to resist finding out the sex. I want the suprise and my midwife had one lady expecting a girl but had a boy, I'd be devastated if I'd spent all that money and all that time preparing for one and getting the other!0

They don't tell us up here. Too many mistakes apparently so my health board don't tell. If I want to know it will be £70 to find out privately. I'm not bothered what it is, as long as there's only one! LolNo longer ...tobe! Married 20/06/13MFW 2021 #117 £5415.40/£6000MFW 2022 #77 £3740/£3000MFW 2023 #82 £0/£30000 -
Huge congrats to Alizee and Tinkwings, it really is nerve wracking to begin with, but the vast majority of us here experienced that too, so you're in good company
I'm 12+2 at the moment but scan not for another week! Can't wait to see it again, know it won't look like a bean anymore. Had first scan at 7 weeks so lucky to have already seen heartbeat.
Conveniently I work very close to a JL- not sure it's going to help the money saving!

Great news on mortgage! You'll be busy busy busy now!
We bought our house last summer, to be honest I'm glad I'm not moving while pregnant I hate moving!
I'm in agony from my flu jab today, my arm is hurting so much I've barely slept and sadly I've got to work until Sunday nowit's going to be a looooong week!

Congratulations on the mortgage. Impressive debt repayment I can see in your signature. I love owning my home, hope yours is perfect too.
We are totally finding out the sex. Actually we find out on Thursday with the harmony test results. Then let the name argument commence! Dh watched obem last night and he couldn't believe people were still thinking of names in the delivery room. I sense he won't be willing to wait and see what the right name 'feels' like on the day. We will have decided in advance!
I took the plunge and weighed myself today. Bizarelly it's stable, same as when I was weighed during my ivf cycle. Which is strange as clothes are so tight. Hopefully I'm just sucking fat from elsewhere!0 -

Its an early down syndrome test. Since I'm having a pretty major operation this week, they wanted to be sure the baby was healthy and so encouraged me to get this test so the results would be known with certainty by week 12.
It's a blood test, and the science is quite cool really. Apparently from week 10 the babies blood/DNA starts to mix into your bloodstream. This test can isolate the babies contribution and test the chromosomes. Since the sex can be seen in chromosomal tests they can tell that way. Down-syndrome, and a few other abnormalities, can also be seen in the chromosomes.
They say it's not 100% certain, so if you get a high risk result they will still advise you to get the more invasive amniocentensis (sp) but please god we don't get to that. I'm really nervous about it actually. Since I started regularly failing medical tests they all make me really nervous.0 -
Oh T2D, I really hope all goes well on Thursday, and with the impeding operation.
Thanks for mortgage congrats all - super exciting times, we're FTB, so can't wait to own our own home. Debt-busting and subsequent deposit saving has been an important journey for us - challenging but really good for us! Luckily I love packing and moving so I'm not feeling stressed about it all - the thing I'll struggle with is not lifting the boxes as I'm used to just doing everything - bit of a control freak, and rubbish at asking for help!!
Don't think we'll find out the baby's sex, I really can't see the benefit, but my other half does want to find out, so I might be persuaded. I don't even know whether it is an option here!Total money owed: [STRIKE]31/07/11- £17,877[/STRIKE], LBM - 14/10/12 :j, 01/06/13 - £0 DEBT FREE!!!!
