TCOD, it's not just now that I don't want to take them, I've always been that way. Seen too many people pop them for the slightest thing when an extra glass of water or something to eat would probably cure it and they've got to the extent that they now have to take stronger and stronger painkillers as they've become immune. I don't know why they just don't seem to work for me but that's probably the main reason I will only take them if I really really have to.
Not sure how long the babysitting will be as it's only for a meeting but it's home and straight to bed for me tonight....after I've packed the suitcase for the weekend as I won't have time tomorrow! Will be good to get away, just a shame I'm going back to my home town, a place where I go as little as possible, about twice a year to visit family....another reluctance! Lol

    Oh ladies! I'm so stupid!!

Long day, early meeting and late finish. Then did some shopping on the way home as dh is home tomorrow and there is no food in the house. Got home and retched for a while... Had a crumpet...and remembered I was meant to be at the hospital for an mrsa test!!

So I'm on a bus again, on the way to the hospital. Sigh. Hopefully will be quick and home by 9ish.

    So tired...

ETA: 8.27 and back home. yay!! The fastest ever trip to and from a hospital. I admit I got a taxi home. Back on the sofa now and much happier. All plans for a nice healthy dinner are out the window though.

Not due to see midwife at group session until 7 th April .

Doc receptionist says no need to see doc just go to this session.

Will try to relax but as you all know - it's not that easy :-(

Hang in there ttc39. I've had almost no major symptoms all the way so far, in fact they seem to be finally arriving this week (week 11)!

At 6 weeks my only real symptom was stressing out like a mad woman, which I think tired me out, which is why I was tired. Which I then thought was a symptom. Do another test if it helps. I have a nice pile of them from around that time.

Thank u xx I am trying to stay calm. It's such a shame as 1st pregnancy I was so excited and didn't give mc a thought really :-(

Now I'm scared to be excited, scared at no symptoms and scared at thought of scan to find maybe what I had before :-(

I did test again yesterday 3weeks plus but realistically how accurate is this? If it was over would test go back to 1-2 or wouldn't it still say 3weeks plus? it's a nightmare time xxxx

  • TCOD and littlemissreading (and anyone else remotely interested in home births) I saw my midwife from our Homebirth team yesterday - really great appointment, and my other half has been completely turned round :D

She advised checking out the Birthplace survey (2013) which was really comprehensive and showed that for women who were low-risk (i.e. otherwise fit and healthy/no pg-related complications) home is the safest place to give birth - there is a chance of having to transfer mid-labour (40% for first baby, 12% subsequent) but that is very rarely (as in hardly ever) an emergency transfer, more like it would be recommended if breech is detected etc.

In my area the homebirth team was set up in January as a direct response to the outcomes of the survey (so very much evidence-based), which I suspect is the same reason for your area littlemissreading.

So, basically, even if you are only remotely considering it then worth having a discussion about it as an option for you individually.

Personally, based on all the evidence I've read and heard, I'm going to proceed on the basis of a homebirth but if circs change I will obviously take advice of the MWs and not be too headfast about it! Safety of my and the baby will obviously be paramount.

12 weeks this weekend - it's going so fast! Scan not until the 1st April though so will stay on this thread for timebeing :D
