  • Argh. Tired baby brain meets exam revision. Tired baby brain wins. I know NOTHING! Argh... will be too heavily pregnant (and judging by rapid rate of brain disintegration will probably just about be capable of sitting in a darkened corner drooling) for resits at end of August so it's now or never. Bum.

    Afternoon ladies!

Had my scan this morning and everything looked fine. The baby was wriggling a lot and we managed to get a nice photo so feeling really happy and looking forward to telling people.

They left my due date at 28/09/2014 so that puts me at 12+1 which was the same as my calculations.

I guess the time has come for me to move to the next thread. I will still be lurking though. Thanks for all the support and wishing you all luck and seeing you over on the next thread soon xx

Just updated with my scan date and have to say that I'm quietly sh*tting myself that there's going to be 2 on the scan instead of 1 :rotfl:.

I slept really well last night but still feel like poo today. I agree WTTD only monday argh.

Had my first eipsodes of retching today too so maybe I just feel worse for that but wish I could just hibernate in bad until November lol

Most of the ladies in my office know I'm pregnant now as they've seen how pale I am and how many times I'm going to the loo and to be honest I don't really care them knowing as at least they know the reason I'm being like this.

Glad the scan went well Lailap and you're dates are spot on.

Amazing news Laila! Good luck in the next stage!

I feel really poorly today - have had a really upset stomach. Not sure if it's pregnancy related or something else!

Alioops - do twins run in the family? What makes you think it might be two?

If it's a dodgy belly with toilet trips then possibly pregnancy related as a few of us have had that more than actual sickness, I know I have.

Twins are on both sides of our families, I have twin aunts on my Mum's side and twin cousin's on my Dad's side plus DH's Mum was a twin (twin didn't survive). There is an increased risk of having twins when you are over 35 (yep), have a high bmi (yep) and they run in the family (yep) or it could just be a load of codswollop :rotfl:.

I think it's just because I'm only possibly wanting one child due to my own health issues that sods law I'd end up having twins plus my girlfriends said that they'd laugh themselves silly if I ended up with twins god love em.

I'm probably just being paranoid :rotfl:

Wow it does look like there is a chance but you never know could just be one! I always feel like things are less likely to happen if you expect them:) also that is probably codswallop!

Sorry your feeling so rubbish ttc39 I had no idea it all started so early!

I've just called my doctor who said I didn't need to see the doctor until I am 8 weeks and then the midwife gets in touch between 12 and 14 weeks to arrange a scan! If that's the case I think I'm definitely going to have to pay to have a scan a little earlier!

My sympathies to all who are struggling at work today! I was not working today but still have had a rubbish day. Slept TERRIBLY last night...just awake for hours with stupid itching :( phoned the doctors and spoke to a doctor who said she would leave me a prescription. When I went to pick it up I was horrified to find it was only for cream...I've GOT cream in the drawer, I always understood that cream just treats the symptoms and you need a pessary or tablet to actually tackle the cause! Argh :( so I will use it but I don't entertain much hope. She said if it hasn't gone in 7 days to phone back so I will.

Also went for my repeat blood test. I haven't really let myself think about it much but I am slightly worried it is going to be bad news. Hope it is not too long before I hear about it. My mum works in the hospital lab so she came up and met me, which was nice as I do get a bit funny about having blood taken after passing out once when it was done. I have had it done loads of times since then and been absolutely fine but I still think about it!

I have paid for the bad night's sleep by being sick all day :( and feeling generally rubbish. Some of the maternity clothes I ordered have arrived but as yet I have no energy to open the packages and try them on! It is all a bit pathetic. On the plus side, I am only at work for 2 days this week! This is my week when I have Monday and Thursday off, and I have my scan on Friday so off then too. So hopefully even I can manage 2 days!
