    Nipples - check
Tiredness - check (why can't I sleep past 7 at weekends?)
Maternity clothes hunt - check (will need work trousers sooner rather than later)
Thoughts of floaty summer dresses from Primark to add to the two I got last year and hoping that they're a great help in seeing me through the summer - check.
Feeling like crap during the week and this week not much better at the weekend - check
Aptamil registration - check (thanks for that one, already had the Emma's Diary one - keep the freebies coming!)

Today I think that we're gonna get out of the house and actually do something, even if it is go and finally settle on wallpaper for the hall and stairst hat has been partially stripped for a year! I'm going to somehow have to manage not to throw a tantrum when I don't get what I want (plastered painted and nice paper) but instead have to concede to a yucky horrible 'paintable' paper (aka blown !!!!!!! vinyl) until this wee one is big enough to not pick at the paper, hands on walls etc and we can afford to do it all properly. We will just hide the uneven bits for now......!!

Thanks Daisiegg - I think, all being well, I'm going to try and hold off telling anyone at work til after Easter. Might try and get an early scan too before telling too many people.

Can't believe you are nearly 12 weeks! It only seems like yesterday you got your BFP!

Oh lord it doesn't to me! It feels like years! Time is going soooooooo slowly :(

I've lost half a stone in the last week. I've no appetite but am eating small amounts.

    Should I be worried?
  • First and second BFP 5/2/14 - one at home, one at Walk In Centre
Call to GP 6/2/14 - booking in appointment arranged with mw
Booking in appt was end of Feb around 7 weeks
Advised to book scan - called a week later as advised and got 31/3 for scan around 12 weeks
Next mw appt for 29/4 around 16 weeks

    Welcome Frankieloo - congratulations!

I found my timeline I posted earlier for your info. However it is worth noting that is seems different depending on where you live. Maybe you get a littler earlier in the queue the earlier you call?

Funny to speak of nipples I noticed only this morning that one nipple has a peculiar ridge above above it of lumpy stuff which disappeared after a shower. My boobs are also extraordinarily hot today compared to the rest of me!

Yes why can't I sleep in any more?!

I'm hoping it's ok to wait until after my scan and start looking in April. Having had no scan can't quite believe it until that happens. Luckily I was on 5:2 diet before this and lost some weight so all my clothes were baggy and on on their way to fitting again.

I am going to achieve a supermarket shop and we might treat ourselves to a late meal out. Like a fool, I have to pop into work for my emails as forgot to print details of a course I'm on tomorrow in London:doh:

I don't know is the short answer. I imagine it depends on your weight/BMI etc. I am 10 weeks tomorrow and not back to my October waist measurement yet (but closer every day).

Woo hoo 12 weeks today! I will wait to move to the next thread after my scan tomorrow though if that's OK with you lovely ladies? (although even when I do go I will probably still be lurking here)

I've been having really vivid dreams too, and I know what you mean about having to wake up and get them out of your head. I've had some really odd ones. I've also been dreaming of a baby boy so I took that to be a sign but then I started dreaming of a girl so who knows :rotfl:

No nipple issues here but the girls are rather painful and getting proper huge much to my husbands delight. I am also ridiculously tired all the time like other ladies have said. I have dinner and then I am pretty much dosing on the sofa and hubby has to send me to bed.

I've also developed really bad skin. I went to the doctors on Friday and it's apparently Rosacea. I've had it well over a year but always thought it was just a rash or dry skin but being preggers has really made it bad so I wanted to see if they could give me any cream. Apparently because I have Raynauds and that along with a red blotchy face can mean Lupus so I have to have more bloods done. I think they are just being over-cautious as I am preggers thought because reading the symptoms definitely fit with the Rosacea. Does anyone else have this?

They also gave me a flu jab, usually the midwife does it but they made me have it then and there just incase so now I am feeling pretty rubbish from the effects of that and even more sleepy!

    Frankieloo Congratulations!! and welcome! :j:j:j
  • Obviously I would always check with a medical professional - I had a quick google but couldn't find anything specific. I assume if you're eating little and often that you're getting enough vitamins and minerals etc and taking your supplements. Don't forget anecdotally, all those women who don't know they are pregnant and don't adjust their lifestyles - be it drink, drugs, unhealthy diets, no folic acid etc etc and still go on to have healthy babies. I was quite a keen wine drinker before i fell pregnant (oh ok and beer. And gin.) and i have replaced those unhealthy calories with ice cream, crisps, chips and any kind of starchy carb not nailed down. I imagine if I had got rid of the booze and not replaced with junk I too would be losing weight and I don't know I am any better off for not losing it as I haven't been putting on weight with anything of nutritional value!

Sorry does any of that made sense? Had a nap already in preparation for going shopping and seem to have developed early baby brain (actually started last month but ashamed to admit to my failing cognitive powers). Coherence is no longer my friend.

Half a stone in a week does sound like quite a bit, particularly if you are not vomiting all the time or something. I would try to eat as healthily as possible and keep an eye on it. If you keep losing weight inexplicably, might be worth a mention to a doctor just to reassure you it is nothing bad.
