Ladies, I love to see the thread so busy, makes me happy to come on and have something to read :) keep chatting please it is great! :D

As for exhaustion, I am totally with you all....it is horrendous. I am really lucky to work part time which is helping, but on Monday I was at work from 7.30am to 5.30pm (and teaching or in meetings that whole time...lunch breaks don't really exist!) and by the evening I was so knackered I could barely speak or move. I looked haggard and had shadows under my eyes that could have been drawn there with a black marker pen. It is like this bone deep tiredness I have never felt before. Even on days when I finish work at 2pm I can quite easily come home and sleep for over 2 hours, and then still be ready for bed at 9pm. It doesn't help that my husband gets up at 5am every day (I try and snooze until 6am but it doesn't always work).

I have two very yukky symtoms at the moment. Thrush :(:( which is driving me crazy. Everything I read says don't use over the counter medicine for it while pregnant without seeing a doctor, so I am going to try and get an appointment tomorrow. The other thing is really bad acne. It is horrendous and I feel so embarrassed :( the first few weeks of pregnancy my skin was gorgeous. What happened?!

Other than that, I am feeling quite good about everything. Still quite sick but hoping it will be over soon as I will be 12 weeks next week. I think I am starting to show a little bit. My app says that the uterus moves up from the pelvis between 10 and 11 weeks (and I think mine definitely has - I am weeing half as much as I was before now that it is no longer pressing on the bladder!) and I feel like my tummy is changing shape a bit. My tummy is always big (I have a high BMI) but I think it is getting a bit more rounded.

I just ordered about £600 worth of maternity clothes online yesterday! (NOT intending to keep them all - ordered different sizes etc to try). It may seem a bit early but in 3 weeks I go on holiday and by the time I get back I will be over 16 weeks, so I figured I needed to start thinking about it. Needed comfy clothes for travelling.

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend. Beautiful day here and I think we are going to go for a walk and a picnic :) husband is working...he got up at 7.30 to 'do an hour' and he is still going...I think it is time to intervene!

    Hello DaisyEgg,

Just read your post, I'm 16 weeks today but I just wanted to second your hunt for maternity clothes early. I didn't and I struggled for weeks, mostly wearing my work trousers because I couldn't find anything comfortable etc. I did last week finally find, two dresses which I could layer or would be fine when it gets a bit warmer. One was £10 on special offer in new look and the other was £20, due to 20% off, Red Herring in Debenhams - I bought the next size up, so a 16 and it has some give so I'm hoping they'll see me through!

Also, I am very jealous that you work part-time. I'm a teacher, in special education, and it's 40 mins each way and in the early days it was a horrendous effort. I totally empathize with the tiredness, I'm still in bed at 9pm now at 16 weeks and at the weekend, often have a wee nap!

    Thanks everyone.

Daisiegg - I too have had terrible skin out breaks already. I'm worried people might guess that I'm pregnant. Hopefully the sun will help a little. Going to go for a wander later on.

I've been googling for remedies for pregnancy acne and coconut oil has come up a bit. Have you tried anything?

 Frankieloo, was wondering when you were going to join us :D. I made an appointment with my doctor the next day but I was on medication that you can't take while pregnant so had to discuss that with him and while I was there he referred me but I would just ring up on Monday, say you found out you're pregnant and ask what happens next.

Yes to the vivid dreams, I dreamt someone had knocked on the door but it was so loud I woke myself up to see if it was real then needed the toilet but didn't want to go in case I'd see someone outside (live in a bungalow). I keep dreaming of baby girls too so hoping it's a sign although the dream where we forgot to feed or change the baby was distressing and hopefully not a sign of how bad we'll be lol.

Ttc39 I'm another one with permanently erect nipples very annoying especially when taking off my bra and I catch them ouch.

I'm also suffering from bad skin but it had started before I got pregnant due to stress so I'm hoping it will disappear soon as I don't normally suffer from it.

I'm glad there are some other teachers here too! I'm already panicking about how to go about telling people at school and it what order. What did you do?

I told a good friend in my department the day I found out...I was too excited not to and she was TTC as well and every day we would say to each other 'are you pregnant are you pregnant?' Then a week or so later the sickness started so I had to tell my head of department and a couple of other close colleagues as I was running out of lessons to be sick.

Then at about 6 and a half weeks I told my head. I had not intended to so early, but she had called a meeting with the part timers in our department (there are quite a few of us) to discuss staffing for next year and I just couldn't sit and lie and pretend I would be here. I had to tell her. I'm glad I did because I ended up having quite a few days off sick here and there with morning sickness so I am glad she knew why I was off, as they can't count absence for pregnancy related illness the same as other sickness absence.

I then had a private scan at 8 weeks and after that I was quite happy for the rest of my department to know. We are a close department anyway. The risk of miscarriage after seeing a heartbeat at 8 weeks drops to 2% so I felt more comfortable with them knowing. Once I have my 12 week scan I will be completely 'out' I think and not mind who knows. I also think I will tell my classes then. Not least because I really am starting to show a bit and I don't want them thinking I ate all the pies (!) but also because I have been so weird for the last couple of months, rushing in and out of lessons being sick, being off work sick, etc, that I would like them to know the reason and not think I have just become completely flaky.

Thanks Daisiegg - I think, all being well, I'm going to try and hold off telling anyone at work til after Easter. Might try and get an early scan too before telling too many people.

Can't believe you are nearly 12 weeks! It only seems like yesterday you got your BFP!
