Lilmissreading, thanks for the stats. I had an 8 week scan so I'm trying to not worry. DH is away so nothing to do but worry, so I need to find some better distractions!

Hi all, hope you're all well.

Been absent recently because I thought if I stop obsessing time would go quicker - well it ain't! Time has never dragged so much!

First midwife appt later today. Hoping she uses a Doppler as my symptoms have really gone quiet lately. I don't "feel" pregnant. Hope I'm just being silly.

Don't know what to do about the downs test. Doesn't help that OH seems to be burying his head in sand about it and won't have a proper discussion.

Morning all, well the bad tummy was about 5 episodes from getting up yesterday to about 5pm .. Then it held fire, what a relief.. Have had one lot this am so far.. Did feel awkward leaving desk so often yesterday and I have a 3 min walk to loos walking past about 20 people so was very uncomfortable as didn't know on some whether I'd make it ugh !

Other than that no real symptoms, has a few cramps feelings , not pain

Tcod hope scan went well, I know you said you are away for a few days straight after so hope that is a relaxing break xx

Whattodonow, how many weeks are you? My mw said they would start listening to the heartbeat at 16 weeks so maybe don't get your hopes up for that too much.

ttc39 I had diarrhoea for the first few weeks. I think it is quite common though one of the lesser talked about symptoms!

thanks daisy.. ive only had the one episode today so far.. yipppee!!! feeling good.. no other symptoms though.. so fx all is good.

if only we could press a button to fast forward to a healthy scan and the birth in a nanosecond lol x

Some good news today. My oncologist called and said I can skip my MRI until the end of the pregnancy. Which is a relief as it was one more thing to worry about, both with timings and worrying about the results.

Only minor downside is I was thinking the images of the baby would have been amazing! But much happier to have one less thing to think about.

ttc39 I've been struggling with the same problem and I actually said to DH that I'd rather that than vomiting lol. Luckily I'm mainly in the morning and evening although had an episode at work yesterday but I've told my direct Manager I'm pg so if anyone says anything she can head them off.

time2deal that's great news but agree the images of the baby would've been fantastic to see.

We told my inlaws last night and going to Skype with my parents tomorrow during the day as I work from home and let them know (they live in Oz). We're going over for a holiday next year so I'm going to ask if it's okay if we bring an extra person with us and see how long it takes them to work it out.
