Less than 12 weeks pregnant club! Part 4!!

TCOD, hope everything goes well for you and that your mind is put at rest.
I got my appt through for mine, got another 4 weeks to wait yet, going by dates I'll be 13 weeks bang on when I get it, I'm too impatient!!!!
Was at a wedding yesterday and I had three glasses of wine and a champagne for the toast. Don't worry though, all the wine was mineswept by hubby's cousin and her friend who were at our table, and when I say mineswept, I don't think the wine touched the sides as they drank it and threw the glass back at me when the top up rounds were getting done! Was certainly strange to be completely sober at a wedding and look at everything through hubbys eyes (he doesnt drink at all and usually gets his wine for me - his got mineswept too!).

Well, we told the kids today aswell and they were all happy. The youngest says she hopes it's a girl, and middle says he hopes it's a boy, and the eldest isn't bothered. He says he's known for a couple of weeks - lugging in through closed doors, little bu*ger never hears anything he's meant to but manages everything he's not! That's it out in the open now, had to really before it gets out from anyone at work as everyone knows everyone round here and I've had to tell them and starting training others in things I'm no longer allowed to do. Too early but just have to keep the fingers crossed everything is well!

Afm the upset stomach I had before (last pregnancy) is back again... Seems like constipation is more common . Would rather that than this :-(

Really hope it's not mirroring exactly the last time :-( xxx

Hugs ttc39 hope you're able to relax a bit more and the upset tummy calms down.

AFM I'm back at work today after 2 weeks off and I know that I'll be asked if I'm pregnant as they all know we've been trying. I'm going to try and keep sproglet quiet now until after the scan so hopefully I can keep a straight face when lying lol.

All the talk of NT reminds me must educate DH on potential choices here, decided to have it done as part of scan but not sure he really gets it.

Hola chica! Hope you're having a fab time.

My DH doesn't get it either. He went through the leaflet, said 'there's a lot that can wrong isn't there? What do you think?' I said I thought I'd want to know the risk levels but even if the baby did have something like Down's I would still go ahead. He said that was fine with him but I don't think he really gets it.

tcod - hope your scan went well and was exciting. Have a lovely time away.

ttc39 - hope this is just normal pregnancy symptoms. I seem to swing between the two symptoms currently. Happy days!

MrsC we must be about the same time? My scan is in 3 weeks when I will be bang on 12 weeks by my LMP but am secretly convinced am a little further on. I keep telling myself it will fly by!

I keep waiting for the 'flying by' part to start. Feels like I am running in treacle at the moment.

I've got a 10 week scan on Thursday, and presuming that is ok we will be starting the process of 'telling'. A bit early, but with the surgery at week 12 I have to tell work anyway, so want to tell family and friends at the same time. I can't wait! Although I'm also terrified that I have jinxed it and the scan on Thursday will be bad.. do we ever get to stop worrying?!

Keep telling myself it will fly by nonetheless...power of belief....

I think, all being well, that if we are to be parents this is the start of never ending worry. One of the beauties of parenthood as far as I can tell.

Good luck with scan. Assume you're familiar with the odds but:

'Research has shown that if you see a heartbeat at 6 weeks of pregnancy, the chances of the pregnancy continuing are 78%.
A heartbeat at 8 weeks increases the chance of a continuing pregnancy to 98% and at 10 weeks that goes up to 99.4%.'


It's not 100% but good as you can get! Therefore I can't see it makes much difference to wait the extra two.

Just delurking to say I am 17 weeks tomorrow and still getting cramps/stretching pains which i believe is all normal, just baby growing in my tummy!
