Sorry to hear that TOFT. Look after yourself x

Time2deal - sounds really positive after this morning for you. hope things get moved along quickly.

Anyone know if you can eat sushi whilst pregnant? Just the stuff you buy from M&S?

Yes, apparently you can. Sushi is my craving and I have looked at lots of websites. They say the stuff from the supermarkets are ok as they would have frozen the fish for at least 24 hours to kill parasites.

I still stick with cooked/ smoked fish and meats only though and of cause veggies.

Just be careful if adding soy sauce as it has loads of salt in.

NHS have come through for me! The IVF clinic this morning referred me to their prematurity clinic, and I have an appointment on Monday. Excellent. :)

I've even tracked down the referral letter, and it's fascinating as it included the operation summary notes for my recent surgeries.

    Much happier now.

Really glad to hear that I was a little bit worried about you :D
  • Good news t2d. I assume we'll be having similar monitoring? I'm getting checked every 2 weeks from 13th March. Can't wait as at least it'll stop me stressing as much! :)
  • Really sorry TOFT, take care of yourself xx
Baby on board - EDD 29th Sept
  • Had my booking appt today at 7 weeks and all went well.
We have a holiday booked since new year flying on 11th October.....won't be going on that now! Went online to cancel it and it's complete loss of deposit! We only paid a low deposit with the remainder or the deposit to be paid next week, then the balance 12 weeks before we went so it's going to cost another £400 to cancel! Have spent tonight looking at other dates/locations and we're both going to have to check with work tomorrow to see if we can get time off so we can change it and still go without losing a fair whack of money. I wouldn't have minded but the deposit is 50% of the holiday cost and if we waited until we paid the complete balance and then cancelled straight after that we would lose 30%. Doesn't make sense to me!
Here's hoping we have some success with it and can still get away!

  • t2d, I'm really pleased to hear they've sorted out an appointment for you.

i'm looking forwards to a nice meal out with some family friends tonight, eating out is a pretty rare treat now just because of the cost, but Dad's paying with his Tesco vouchers :)

MrsC - oh no about the holiday! I hope you get something sorted out that doesn't cost you too much. Do you know anyone else who might want to go instead of you, if it's possible to change the booking names and not the date?
  • Bluebell, we are looking at changing it to June....the week before our annual trip away without kids! Just means that my stepson will have to have a week out of school but there's absolutely nothing we can do about it as DH defo can't get off during July/August. I don't agree with taking the kids out of school but doesn't look like we're going to have any choice. I've been told I can get the time, just waiting on an answer from his boss now....if not I probably will have to either swallow losing £600 or try and sell it on to someone else and lose at least £350 as I'd pay for the name changes, I know which I'd rather put of the three options. Money is now precious so I'd rather use it and pay as planned than lose it altogether!
Hopefully get something sorted this afternoon though.

I'm approaching the 3pm fade. Made worse by a quiet afternoon at work.

    Bring on the weekend!
