Just lurking and your pudding for breakfast made me laugh!

Why does he think you can't have peanut butter though?! Eggs are fine too just supposed not to have them raw or runny but if you've bought them in a supermarket they'll have been vaccinated so I had a few runny ones x

My almost pudding... *sigh*. The midwife told me not to eat peanuts in case it increases risk of allergy. There's loads of stuff saying to eat them to decrease risk. I wish that there was just one answer to this stuff rather than all the contradictory information! The runny eggs and pb for brekkie were like a breakfast red flag to oh. Need to work on his sense of reason and logic I think! :)

You are being crazy! (Please note this is the second post in a row I have called you crazy. Sorry about that!)

I used to travel all the time in Europe. Maybe his meeting finished early and he realised he could sneak onto an earlier flight. Or he just made a mistake and was booked back today. If he is on an earlier flight maybe he has decided to travel with a colleague, which may explain why he hasn't had time to text.

All will be well pregnant lady! Just be pleased to have him back warm in your bed tonight.

I'm pretty sure he won't be in my bed tonight...he DEFINITELY said he would see me Wednesday so if for some reason he is flying to the UK tonight I can only presume he will be staying in London.

I know I am crazy :( but but but but but I am pregnant I ought to know where my husband is and be able to contact him! I really should be asleep now and can't settle, keep looking at my phone :( feel like a teenage girl not an old married lady! :o

What?! All that stuff about not eating nuts isn't recommended anymore. Sounds like your midwife needs updating! Like you say I think it's the opposite now. I've had plenty of peanut butter x

Hi everyone! I'm 6 + 1 with my second. DS1 is 12 months and will be 21 when DC2 is due to arrive in Oct. Very excited! Nice to see some names on here that I recognise from previous wedding/baby threads!

    To those worrying about eggs there's some great advice here;

Basically, as long as they are lion code stamped you're ok to eat ever which way. My DS also has quite a few allergies including to milk and eggs and I've been researching whether I should avoid or eat more of in this pregnancy and the advice I found was to eat normally and a bit of everything.

Wishing you the best TOFT x
Please forgive the badly spelt alias... I am a long time contributor who needed to reclaim anonymity for health/job related posts.
  • TOFT, I hope that you are OK. x

Welcome zcrat! My DS is 25 months now and we've asked him if he'd like a baby to play with and have so far been told "no baby play". Well, we've got a bit of time to get him used to the idea...

My Nan is getting more health problems instead of recovering from her infection, so we're making plans to go and visit as soon as we can. She doesn't know about the pregnancy yet - we wanted to wait until the scan, but I think we'll need to let her know as soon as we see her :(

    TOFT sending big hugs xx

Evening ladies, hope everyone is doing OK.

I thought I was over the worst of the nausea as Saturday, Sunday and Monday I felt almost back to normal but then yesterday it hit again with avengeance. I can't believe that I will be 10 weeks this weekend, it was going really slow but the last couple of weeks have flown past!

It has been hectic so maybe that is why. We have to move now we are expecting as we only live in a 1 bedroom flat and with a dog and 2 cats it's already cramped. So we have been sorting mortgages etc and getting the flat on the market and today, less than a week after it went on we sold for the full asking price :j

Now it's going to be a mad rush to find a house, there isn't much on the market here so hopefully something comes up quickly as we don't want to leave our buyers waiting too long.

    Hi ladies,
Feeling a bit stressed tonight. I had my booking in appointment, which was fine, but they won't listen to me that I need to get the cerclage (cervical stitch) put back in. I was advised by my oncologist to get it done asap, probably around week 9 to 11, but they have made a booking for me to see the specialist on 7 April! Which will be around week 14. And who knows how long it would take then to get it actually done.

They said that is normal, but how can they know when they aren't interested in any of my history, and have no detail from my oncologist, or have done any kind of examination!? I haven't seen a doctor at all, and everything seems weeks and weeks away.

It doesn't help that the clinic who look after it are closing next week for 2 weeks, so appointments are impossible to get. I think I will just have to bite the bullet and pay for a private consultation myself to get another opinion. It would be with the same consultant who is looking after me on the NHS, just a month or so earlier. Has anyone mixed private and public care? I just can't accept that no-one would even look at my case until well past the time when I was told I had to have treatment.

I don't mind paying for an appointment, I just don't want to get stuck on a track where I have to pay for everything as each operation would easily be thousands.

sigh... and while I was there I also started a teeny tiny bit of bleeding, which stressed me out. Just light brown streaks, but upsetting and distracting.
