I keep wanting curry (had last night - marked down at Sainsburys) and pizza (having tonight)! I told DH last night that it's amazing to me that I'm eating like this and still losing weight! I'm not trying to lose weight, it's just happening now.

Odd, same is happening here, my mother is always the first to mention my weight negatively but the other day said that I was looking quite slim with the obvious exception of the bump! Then last night OH said my 'shelf' was getting smaller, by that he meant my backside (I have a curve in the spine and it makes the top of my bum look like a shelf lol). He meant it in an affectionate way, he loves me being curvy!

I too have just been eating what I want, when I want too. I've probably eaten similar amounts to prepregnancy, but I'd have thought I was taking in more calories as am drinking drinks that have more calories in (can't bear tea and diet drinks now!). Yet if I ate like this prepregnancy I KNOW I'd have gained weight!!

    Confused!!

    PS good luck big_zippy!!

    Hugs to the tired ladies...
And good luck BZ, hope this is the start of baby's arrival and all goes smooth for you both x

Re eating habits, I've been lucky that nothing's made me really sick this pregnancy, I did lose my usual sweet tooth in the first trimester, though it came back with a vengeance later! I've been better at getting a variation of veg into our dinners, though that's my head rather than my heart! And I too have gone nuts for milk, this morning's brekkie was a bowl of shreddies and milk followed by a mug of chocolate milk!

When the baby's here I'm looking forward to some yummy cured meats like chorizo and Parma ham, and a glass of bubbly, a pimms in the summer and some Brie on French bread..... :)

    Ohhh good luck bigzippy!

AFM - just called the Dr's and AO means there are urgent notes on my file (I wish I asked what it stands for oh well.

Receptionist confirmed the blood results had shown that my iron levels are very low. They want me to go and get tablets today and then they will redo my bloods to check they have risen. She asked me if I was really tired and I said not really (this is about the only time in pregnancy I haven't been power napping so far) but I have got that odd metalic taste I had in the beginning stages.

I had a savoury binge in weeks 0-12 but but now my sweet tooth is here completly.

    Lurking for news.....

    I've been Money Tipped!
Should I be washing new Grobags?
First baby due 3/3/14 - Team Yellow! Our little girl born 25/2/14 :D
  • I've been told that I should be upping my dairy intake to 5 portions a day (very odd as on SW you have one measured portion or syn it! although I had relaxed a lot from the strict sw plan before pregnancy it still feels too much) with a portion being 1/2 a pint of milk, 1oz cheese or a yogurt (forget what 'size') to me that's just too much dairy pregnant or not! So I'm trying for 3 portions - milk on cereal and a glass of milk/warm milk before bed, cheeseat lunch (either in my sandwich or on its own and a serving of yogurt at lunch...more than enough in my opinion :P

I'm washing everything including bedding, blankets, soft toys etc as I have sensitive skin, allergies, occasional eczema and so there's a chance baby will too. I have done soooo much washing in the last two weeks!

Fingers crossed that this is it bigzippy!

Enjoy your last day at work birdie85 :)

MrsBunny - I mentioned this to my midwife, I don't feel like I need to go more often than normal but I just can't wee much when I do go. I am not dehydrated or constipated and don't have any other UTI symptoms but it's not normal for me. I had antibiotics for e-coli in my urine at the start of pregnancy but haven't been retested since. That was the only symptom last time too. She dipped my urine but said it was negative for everything. Maybe I should have insisted she sent it anyway? She advised to keep hydrated, and when you go for a wee to open your knees wider and try to lift your bump up. It doesn't seem to make a difference for me but it's worth a try?

Lovely neat bump samtoby! How many weeks are you? Here is my massive 37 week bump: 2014-01-15%2020.04.47-1_zpsq7j6jsfv.jpg I can't see how I can carry on getting bigger, I feel stretched to the max!

I am waiting to hear from my solicitor... we complete (hopefully!) today, I am itching to get the house keys and get it liveable before the baby comes. I didn't sleep much last night as I kept thinking about all the things I need to do for the house move. Could do with a nap now but don't want to miss the phone!
