I really don't want to ask this question but feel I need to ... has anyone else had pain going to the loo ( number 2) it's not a constipated pain or piles, was just a very uncomfortable sharp painful feeling somewhere in my tummy, went away straight after...

and on a nicer subject, going pram shopping next week :)

I've had this pain a couple of times too so definitely not alone!

Feeling slightly better today although still a slight scratchy feeling in my throat.

Bf has left this morning for the prep camp, he's back about 6pm on Sunday and leaves again 11am Monday! So it's just me and pup here for now - although bf's mum now has a list of days he's away and is apparently going to check on me everyday :/ love her dearly but I am a grown up...I feel like everyone is more worried about me than me, if that makes sense. Either they all know/expect something I don't or they are just worried. It's nice, don't get me wrong, but feels a bit other for 28wks!

Yes I've had this, often it's when I first wake up it's a bit scary.

Lush that's sweet she's going to check on you. My DH gave me a telling off because I didn't answer my phone yesterday, he said I need to start carrying it around with me! He's just so worried since I had the bleeding. I'm kind of glad though as he used to be hard of to get hold of at work but now seems to check his phone much more often. I can't go to the loo in the night without him waking up & asking me if I'm ok, he used to be a deep sleeper!

My DH is like this too - I used to get up in the night and hed either not wake up, or hed just grunt and turn over = now he asks me everytime if I'm okay, and I have to reassure him that I've just been for a quick morning wee!! He's been so great with everything so far...

However, I read Ellie's birth story to him last night and he had a look of sheer panic on his face! oops! I asked him if he thought hed be calm when the time comes and he didnt seem so confidant! Hope he doesnt turn into a quivering mess!! Hes normally so laid back and nothing bothers him but I have a feeling that labour might be his breaking point!!! :rotfl:

I've had that funny tummy pain too Con, I just put it down to one of those odd pregnancy things like everything else! :)

Hope you don't miss your BF too much Lush. Sweet that MIL is checking up on you but I'd find it a bit annoying after a few days! I like my MIL, but I wouldn't want her popping round every day! :p I have a feeling that's exactly what she'll be doing around my due date and when the baby's here though- will have to have a word with OH to tell her when enough's enough! :)

Big hugs for you Jox. Hope you do get a date for your c-section today so you can look forward to having your baby in your arms.

Glad it was good news for you Bambi. :)

Hope Clover's doing well Lily. :)

Got my hospital bag mostly packed last night, just got a couple of bits to get and a list of last minute things to grab when we're on the way out the door and I'm ready to go. :) Washed all of baby's newborn and some 0-3 clothes last night so I could get his hospital bag finished too. I usually hate hanging up the washing to dry but loved it last night, it's all so cute and tiny! :)

  • He's away a lot anyway so we are used to it. Luckily nowadays we use Skype and whatsapp a lot so can video chat/send pics etc for 'free'

I was used to it before we got together though as my dad lead a similar life for most of my life. He was involved with Paralympic sports too so it's even some of the same people now that I'm 'meeting through bf's sport that I knew when I was knee high to them all. Funny as I can have very adult conversations with them but then make them feel old or remind them of that time when they [insert embarrassing story here] :D

I do love MIL dearly and its extremely handy having them just a few minutes walk away (in fact we are trying to get my parents to move to our tiny town so we have both sets near by!) but I use the times when bf is away to indulge in my silly things like watching crime shows that creep him out/films he hates/ cruddy tv and eat whatever I like (curry as well as other things he isn't a fan of) so when they come round I feel I have to 'behave' again. I guess it's different this month as he is away so much in burst so despite being back Sunday its literally for hours then he's off again for most of the week etc
