Not a LBM but awareness of heading towards debt crisis

  • Mixed day today, foodbank went well this morning, harvested another salad from my lettuce and 2 radishes were mature. Used the last chicken breast which means I got 7 meals from a £3 chicken, usually I'd get at least 8 if not 10 but it's still not bad going.
    Then Dad received a reply from the manager of the crisis team which basically states that they are discriminating against me and witholding appropriate treatment on the basis of my diagnosis :( which has seriously rocked me and put me back to where I was before he got home. Pricked out my sprouting purple broccoli seedlings then just curled up in bed for hours.

    However, goal reporting;

    1) spend day today- baccy and some biscuits for treats (I actually still need to give Dad money for biscuits, about a couple of quid)
    2) stall out but no sales, ran a few rounds of SBTV and got a pinecone survey :D so that's an easy £3 coming my way.
    3) Just walked round and round the garden to get my steps up to 4049
    4) still going on the juice free june, drinking at least 1 jug of water, probably about 1.5 litres a day.

    Oh no that is bad news, I hope something is sorted out for you

    7 meals from one chicken is amazing its lucky to last one meal in my house vultures everywhere :) and good going in the water, I try my best to drink more but I can never seem to remember !

  • LFS, I find it helps me to have a water jug out on the table with a glass, I just semi-consciously take a gulp og it every time I walk past (which is every time I go downstairs to smoke or to go to the loo...so quite frequent). I wouldn't drink so much if I had to keep going to the tap to fill a glass iyswim.

    That is just me on my own though, I don't know how many vultures you have but I'd guess you get al least 4 meals out of it even if it's only in one sitting iyswim.

    That's a good idea I will fill a jug tomorrow and see how much I manage to drink :)
    I really must get back to better eating, we do eat healthily usually but over the last few weeks with the camping trip and all the family celebration meals we've had I've eaten a lot more than I usually would and I've been nibbling a biscuit here and pinching a chocolate there, I can feel my jeans starting to struggle so need to get some control over my nibbling :D

  • Do you grow your own veg, or have a sunny windowsill you can grow your own lettuce on? Much cheaper and nicer than shop bought!

    I'd suggest that rather than telling yourself that you can't have that biscuit/chocolate you tell yourself that you have to eat a piece of fruit/veg first and then can have it ;) usually works for me, either I forget I wanted biscuit/chocolate or I eat less of it because I've filled most of my snack space with healthy food....although who am I to talk...today I have eaten 2 chocolate chunk cookies, half a packet of pink panthers and a packet of kabonossi :rotfl: though I call extenuating circumstances with the stress of today!

    After ending up taking me to a+e last night and not even being able to access emergency psych help there (after trying to get something sorted all afternoon with my community team) and not eating at all yesterday because of being in such a bad place, and then today Dad starting at 9am trying to get me sorted with something to get me through tonight at the very least (eventually a GP called me at 6pm and has doubled my script but in a split dose and is referring me for an urgent appt with the psych who is supposed to care for me) I just needed to eat whatever I could stomach.

    This also means that I haven't measured my steps yesterday or today (um, bed, computer, bed, loo & smoke, bed...so not a whole lot).

    The pinecone survey credited so have withdrawn that to paypal to then put into the bank, waiting on SB to hit paypal still. 1/3 of the way to my next £5 on SB (although I'm not entirely sure where a lot of the points have come from....but I do play and do surveys on the IPad in the middle of the night when I get bored, so I'm just hoping I didn't accidently download something to Dad's IPad lol)

    Yesterday was a NSD bringing it to NSD9, I'm guessing we will go to tesco to cash my prescription and I want more cookies so today will probably not be a NSD, but I will update on that later at beddy byes time.

    I really hope these meds are enough to hold me until something more permenant gets done.

  • Dad picked up the drugs as well as the script making it NSD 10 today,
    he seems very tired and grumpy and it figuratively kills me that looking after me does this to him :(

    In gardening news, my basil has died (not sure why unless the sudden temp drop of the last week or so killed it), most of the transplanted purple sprouting seedlings look healthy, I have flowers on all 6 of the tomato plants that I was gifted (mine aren't quite big enough yet) and I have two flowers on the courgette plant I was gifted, both male but apparently male flowers come first.

    Yay to the 1%! Sorry been busy, just to say have card saying I have parcel waiting at PO. Toaster`s at the ready!
    I have borrowed from my future self
    The banks are not our friends
  • So today had been a bit better, the increase of meds makes me feel kinda drunk all the time but generally a lot calmer and have had 2 nights of sleeping solidly for 9 hours without stripping the bed in my sleep.
    I made a Devil's Food Cake today (and very nice it is too) and have done some general pottering in the garden and I did all the washing up while Dad was napping.

    Goals;

    1) NSD 11 today (amazing what never leaving the house does lol)
    2) Paid an extra 1% off the capital one card and have been doing some SBTV (I do the surveys on the IPad when I am bored in the evening and the parents have gone to bed as SBTV doesn't run so well on that. Finding SBTV to be running slow and a bit glitchy today but that could just be the internet connection.
    3) Have done 4075 steps today (and it's not even 10pm!)
    4) Turned down Dad's offer of chocolate milk and sticking to the water, actually over half way through my second jug today - not sure if the extra meds are making me thirsty or because it's hot today and I've been wearing 2 hoodies because I can't take them off (comfort/reassurance thing).

    Got an appt with my CPN for 10 am...the one I've not seen since she disappeared at the end of november...bust try my hardest to be nice to her! Really dreading it in a lot of ways.
