DH has just asked me to go to Boots and get him some shaving gel, steely resolve required! :eek:Time may be a great healer, but it's a lousy beautician....0

After my moan yesterday, I have an OUT today - Rimmel Hide The Blemish Concealer. This is my HG concealer (at the moment anyway as I haven't tried many others) as it covers everything really well, isn't too pricey, lasts for ages and comes in a colour that's roughly similar to my pale skin tone! I have another one in the stash though so won't need to buy any more for a while."A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0

I went into Boots yesterday on the off chance that they would have any non toiletry items left AND that my resolve would hold against any toiletries that were left. I'm pleased to report my halo is still intact :j. There was quite a lot of stuff still there but I was in a hurry and came out with a Bah Humbug mug which I'd had my eye on. No toiletries whatsoever! :T
I also have a UU - Boots Mediterranean Grape, Avocado and Lemon Body Butter 200ml. I thought this was going to last forever and seriously considered running up to random strangers in the street and covering any flesh on show with this. I finally slayed the beast last night. WNBA. I've had it forever and doubt they still make it. Even if they did it was nothing special. Didn't smell of much at all - I don't think it ever did,but being so old probably didn't help (the product not me! :rotfl:)
Unfortunately I still have several other body lotions/butters on the go so it will be a long time before I can justify starting on any new ones, although I am sure I will be tempted. I have a Ted Baker one that still has loads in it. I love the Ted Baker Butterfly fragrance but this is a different one and doesn't really smell of much at all. I've already repurposed the matching bubble bath as hand wash.
I've got 3 friend's birthdays coming up so will be able to GA 3 gift sets, so around 12 products. I have quite a few big gift sets which I think I will end up splitting and giving some as presents but am getting rid of the medium sets first. I bought a really nice toiletry bag (well, I actually bought 3 as they were so nice ) a while ago. They were end of line in Boots and really cheap. They're the type that you can hang up so great for trips away. I have kept one for myself (to go with the other umpteen toiletry bags, including another hanging one that I have). I gave one to my son's girlfriend as part of her Xmas present and will use the other for a birthday with some of the items from the big sets.

She calls that a stash? That looks like the bare minimum to me.
Yep, even though I've been using up like a moisturised demon my stash would be waaaay over that! :rotfl:Cookie, I think you're tame. :heart2:

Confessed to CPN today the amount stuff I had and the recent crazed spending in the Boots Sale... She had a right shock when she came into the spare room and saw the boxes. As for the stash list, she considered it to be OCD!!! Still as long as she does not tell the man in the white coat... :rotfl::rotfl:0

Funnily enough, that's exactly why I had to go into Boots yesterday. Good luck FizzWhizz, I hope your resolve is better than mine! :rotfl:
I survived. Lingered for a long time in front of the shampoos but reminded myself of the BATHFULL I already have and walked away. I even said "no thankyou" to the No7 voucher at the till :A I don't count DH's carp in my list, mainly because he usually buys it all himself, but also because it would have pushed my total well over 300.
Went to Aldi too and didn't buy anything beauty related in there either, admittedly an easier task than Boots, although I do like the handwashes they do in Molton Brown esque bottles.
Just ramming a quick sandwich down my neck then off to the vampires0 -

Hi Mrs MP, yesterday I noticed a thread on here (under health & beauty moneysaving) that queried if Aldi were discontinuing beauty products unless on a special offer, might be worth a look there and possibly a little buying spree if you might be running short of anything.:DThe best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time.
