I'd be totally shocked if SS ever considered it for a moment. DGD's mother can barely look after herself, would be unable to provide real love: the sort that meets the practical and emotional needs of a growing child or regular meals, or encouragement at school or stability of any sort.

    Today beggars belief !
Twin2, has run away to Cornwall (again).
I found out this morning when she finally replied to a message I had sent her. She is not coming back. She has left someone else living in her house, and I have been trying to sort out social services, who said they can't do anything. I had the phone bill in my name. bT say they can't cancel it until 27th. And there is a £32 disconnection charge! Brilliant. I'm left to pay for her friends to use the broadband, and telephone as they can't do call barring unless I was physically in the house with the hand set.
I just received. £90 bill for up yo 3rd May. So potentially I've got another 3 weeks of bills to pay.
Tried to get hold of housing, etc and waiting for them to get back to me.
need to get so much sorted and feel overwhelmed.
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

I find it most odd that when the Twins get themselves boyfriends one of the first things to be discussed is getting their children back. I am not sure if this is because the Twins see it as unfair that they have lost their children and can't fully explain why the children were removed or whether the boyfriends are trying to be all nice to them as it is a new relationship.

We all no like the likelihood is so very very slim but I know it must upset you.

The chances of SS taking DGD to live with her mum are very slim.

Has she run away for a holiday or run away permanently? Is this her new boyfriend who lives there.

If you have a key to the property could you go round with someone and remove the phone cables and phone?
Alternatively could you just go round and cut the telephone wire on the outside of the flat/house? Technically it is your wire to cut as you are the person named on the bill.

Failing that contact BT complaints and tell them the situation and see what they can do?
When is the DD due out? Could you cancel it and see if this gets the line suspended?

Although you are wonder woman (in our eyes) you must slow down and think rationally. There will be a lot to sort if she has gone permanently and first thing will be to write a list.

My concern is that if she has gone permanently and hands her house/flat back what happens when the relationship goes wrong and she wants to come back to the area - where will she live?

    Just sending hugs (((Mooloo)))

surely the disconnection charge will be cheaper than 3 weeks worth of bills? i would just pay this and be done

It's on top of the bill. What ever has been used since 3rd May, until the 27th.

I think the disconnection can't happen for three weeks tired mum, and then they charge the fee.

Mooloo - I'm really sorry you have so much thrown at you :(

So very nearly. I started writing on Hypno's thread a lot, and then was encouraged to set up my own thread.
Seams like a life time ago, at times. But dispite all the ups and downs I feel fairly happy with how things are, or the way they are going, for me and DGD, although the twins will never be plain sailing. Alas.
I certainly feel much stronger, and have become more resilient then I ever imagined I could.

And look how things have changed for Hypno !! :)
Can't think of that thread without remembering Taxi though

As far as I know she wasn't with a boy. She hasn't mentioned one. She met a few people down there and these are New Friends, of friends as far as I can tell. So far I don't have an address or anything. Just I have gone away, I'm not coming back. so other than that I haven't a clue.

With BT you could get it changed to incoming only I believe (I work for the opposition and they do things differently) whilst waiting for it to cancel down.
