Look for Haybox and Wonderbag on wikipedia.

the only time I've ever used a Haybox was when camping with the guides, particularly for porridge: bring it to the boil in the evening, put it in the haybox overnight, and hey presto, porridge for breakfast.

They are however a bit on the bulky side for domestic camping.

Mooloo - if you need some promotional material written I'm happy to do it for you. It'll make a great displacement activity as I'm supposed to be working on my presentations :) Definitely talk to MG about websites/social media marketing etc as she's done loads of work on it over the last couple of years.

Savvy Sue - I've got a thermal cooker made from the pattern Mooloo is using. I wouldn't want to put it in a rucksack if I was walking, but if I was camping by car it is very light and packs up fairly small (I was surprised how small it was when the postman delivered it, although it expands when out of the box, and is currently hanging on the back of my kitchen door).

ETA - Allegra can write, I'll edit ;-)

Link doesn't work, and it might be better to just leave the publicity in Mooloo's profile ...

    thanks all.
Yes the Thermal Cooking Bag, is a take on the Wonderbags.
It is a fabric cover, filled with polystyrene balls, that you nestle a cooking pot inside, cover with a lid, and tighten. You leave the food to continue cooking for up to 12 hours. Depending on what your cooking.
I took mine with us to France and did a spaghetti bolognaise in it. Also made beef stews, and soups. I am making them as a side hustle so that I can try and up my income.
I don't have on my Mooloos website at the moment, just on my blogger, and Facebook.

Regarding the facebook comment for promotion, it isn't about promoting a comment.

    1) You make a bag for a giveaway.
    2) You get all of your friends to like and share it.
    3) When you reach a target amount of 'likes' say 500. You pick a winner to win the bag.

The only cost to you is the time & materials for the bag and postage. You will get a massive amount of publicity for relatively little money. Make sure you get some great shots and the material will suit many age groups.

Ok. Great Idea. I will see what fabrics I have, and see about making an extra one, or two when I finish the orders I have.

Relaxing in Oxford today. DGD went to her Grandad's after school yesterday. I did a bit of one of the thermal bags and then came over to BFs.
We had a lay in this morning, and then we thinned out and planted up seedlings this morning before taking a walk into Oxfird city centre. We had lunch in one of the restaurants, we had been given vouchers for. I had Squid, followed by a safe, green bean risotto. Yummy.
Then we walked back through university parks, watching some volleyball games and life going on all around us. Then sat in the garden on the swing till the sun left.
    So lovely day.

I shall make another few Thermal Bags next week, and then get my photographs sorted before I do a promotional giveaway. Or raffle thingy.
I may consider making some pot holders, etc to use up the spare fabric once the circles are cut out.
There is a huge amount of fabric required in a thermal bag! At least 3 yards! So duvet covers are the best option to use.
Found that the two circle pads for the base and top are handy little pillows or cushions for the kids to sit on, when bags not in use!!!

Well I am beginning to feel that I am on a mini holiday. Pottering at the BFs. Yesterday was his turn to make breakfast, and so we had bacon sandwiches. Then in the afternoon we went to Iffley Lock, and watched the world go by, pleasure boats and canoes. Teams training for boat races and families just enjoying the water. We stopped at a pub there and had a pint sitting in the garden. So relaxing and therapeutic.
Back in the evening and I concocted supper from the last of a chicken, some peppers, onions and rice etc. Then Vera on the TV and a few glasses of wine.
This morning was lazy, late up, tea in bed, and playing around on my phone. We are going out for Lunch/brunch, to an all you can eat buffet, so I shall be stuffed! But I won't need to cook when I get home.
Hope to go to Kidlington this afternoon to get some black poly cotton for my quilt, it's so nearly done, but I've run out of fabric. So a rare occasion of late that I need to go and buy specific fabric.

Spent £10.74 on fabric for the quilt.
So hopefully I am now going to be able to finish it.
The food was good, and I definitely over ate. So no dinner last night.
Came home early evening, which was just as well as DGD came home earlier than expected.
Today she wasn't feeling too well, so she stayed at home, which has given me time to potter around doing jobs about the house.
The kitchen has been done, and washing moved on a few times, and I have started to clean up the sitting room, as I am expecting a customer for sewing tonight.
Therefore I need to clear my desk for her machine.
