  • DGD is growing up Mooloo isn't she?

She obviously knows you love and want her, and she doesn't want to be let down by Twin1, she clearly is old enough to have opinions now.

Sorry not many people at the workshop but it sounds as though the 2 girls enjoyed themselves. Start them young :)

I think the lady didn't advertise, it certainly wasn't in the window when I got there, which if it had been up, you would have expected it to still be up that morning. Lady seems rather unprofessional, nice enough, but bit last minute etc.
I will do advertising myself if I do go back there. ( which may be the only place I can for now).
The rest of the weekend has been quiet. BF came over and once again cut the lawn for me. It's Dandilion heaven at the moment. (Well it was).
Yesterday we went for a drive to MK B&Q, looking at mowers amongst other things. Then BF said we could swap mowers if he can find a way of keeping the grass box on his. So that may be a solution for now.
In the evening I made DGD a pirates outfit, ready for school tomorrow. Rather flung it together, which I suppose I shouldn't do incase people look too closely, but I was so tired, and didn't feel that good.
Back to a normal working week this week, and hopefully a week with less disruptions.

I am not saying this is an avenue you should go down, but take a look at https://handmake.me/ - there was an article about it in my Metro today, and you might pick up some tips from looking at what people are selling, how they are describing items, what they are charging etc. I can't find the Metro article on line, it was in the business section.
Signature removed for peace of mind

Thanks Sue, I will take a look. Just tried but page won't load.

Just waiting for a customer to arrive. (Fridays mess me around)!
Been a long day, my ears are blocked again, so struggling with blocked tubes, and the fuzzyness that goes along with hearing like cotton wool!
Made a few skirts, and upcycled some shorts today.
They are planning once again to move my work station! Not thrilled as that looses me my windows, and it's in the room where the dogs have been!
Not ideal if you ask me. But as I am only there a couple of days a week I suppose I can't really do much about it.
Twin2 has broken her tablet, computer that I bought her last November. So she needs me to claim for it on the insurance I took out. ( suppose it did last longer then her sisters did!)- but replacing it will cost me another insurance policy! And that was nearly as much as the tablet!!
Twin1 is hanging around with the girl from the family from hell again, and causing twin 2 ago in the middle of the night again.
DGDs grandad has asked if he can take her to Wales this weekend( better luck this time). Apparantly Biggest of Mooloos is going along with DGD2.
So I text Twin1 to tell her. Her reply was that Her BF was coming up for the weekend and he wanted her. Then she corrected it to We wanted her.
I replied sorry your Dad asked first.

I've text my BF to let him know that if all goes to plan we would be child free thus weekend. As it's a bank holiday, we get an extra day too!
Hopefully he will think of something we could do. I'd like an excuse to put on a nice frock and heels!

Customer was a no show! Used the time to cut out a thermal bag, ready to see today. Before I work on the Frozen costumes.
Lots of work ahead of me that's for sure.
Day working at home. Hopefully will sell the spare bed today to give me the space to make a workroom again.
    Fingers crossed.

Chap wanting bed cancelled on me 30 minutes or so before he was due to come. So no headway with the spare room. I fact it's a mess now as I'd put all the ironing and bedding etc on my bed so he could take the bed, so when I went to bed, I dumped it all back in there!
    Thermal Bag Finished.
Started on the Frozen outfits. Was a busy day. But felt reasonably content with what I did.
    Beds back on Facebay.
Today is DGD2 babysitting day. But I will bring her back here after visit to my parents etc. Do. An early tea for her with DGD1 as DGD 1 has a school disco at 5pm
Biggest can come and collect her after work, in her new(er) car.
They went for a mortgage in principle, but advised they have had new credit cards lately, so won't get a mortgage. So they have used their money to pay off some credit cards, and to upgrade their cars, while they will work on clearing any debts, they will have to look for a new rental property, as their landlord is selling their house.

Mooloo have you thought about promoting these in a different way?
    1) Get a copywriter to write you a 400 word page about the your thermal bags v the wonderbags so that google recognises your blog page for them and you can use this description on your fb page too. Ask someone internet techy like memorygirl for advice if this appeals copywriter will cost about a £5 -10
    2) Get a competition out there for a free one use your fb page to promote - (and the person who wins has to write up how good they are too) sharing on their fb social media etc and you could advertise this locally too so it lets people know how skilled you are.
    3) Start looking into local farmers markets etc - people who buy your products are more likely to be eco friendly etc and this type of event will give you exposure and "networking"

I'm trying to help Mooloo so I hope I'm not overloading ideas!

    thanks Ab7,
I have no idea where to start with a Copy Writer. But I will investigate.

Facebook charge me if I want to promote my product. Not sure I can afford the daily fees at the moment, but I won't rule it out.
When I have finished the bags on order I'll make a spare one then put it up. Thanks for that idea.
Friend suggested I get DS to video me doing a demo of it working and put it on YouTube. So I will have a go at what I would say etc
Ill chat to Memorygirl as the pattern I used was hers, with permission. Although I've seen others too that are slightly different, and may save me some material. I will experiment.
Was thinking of aiming them at Happy Campers. As found it ideal when we were on holiday.

Can I ask what a thermal bag is, I have Googled it but it doesn't make a lot of sense to me? :o
