All it need this morning is an upset tummy. Not able to stray very far from the loo this morning. Dispite eating all my meals, ( staff make sure I eat! And friends come in after their work and make me cups of tea!), I am still loosing weight. I'm now 9st6 this morning!
I will be back in my 10s at this rate. Already had to get a 10 pair of jeans as mine kept falling down!
I had my hair cut finally. One of the Mums came to the shop to do it for me.
I have spent the morning working on my spreadsheet, slotting in booked jobs etc, and there is enough work booked in to take me until next Thursday. So now have to quote the Monday 17th as lead time. To allow for problems or jobs that take longer then predicted.
The shop is closed tomorrow, as we are going to Woburne for the day.
Plenty of notice has been given and signs around the shop.
Bet people still try to get in though! When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Oh dear, so sorry about your tummy, moo
hope it gets better quickly and that tomorrow goes well.

It's so good to hear that your little shop is doing so well, Mooloo!
Just remember to look after yourself too.

Busy is now my middle name!
Did a repair job to local rotary club sign this afternoon. As rotary I did it as a freebie as my contribution so to speak.
But it did make me think about how hard I still find it to charge the going rate. Etc
I also realise that I am a business and need too!!!
I did a todo list for my staff and tried to get her to keep on track a bit better. Seemed to work.
DGD and I went to a local fireworks tonight. She said it was the best night ever!! Can't ask for more. Tomorrow it's. The safari park so hoping some animals are about! When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
we had a good day today at Woburn. Dispite the weather. The girls all loved feeding the parrots at the end of the journey. Took some pictures on my phone. But couldn't take pictures in the park as I was driving.
We are now at my daughters house, going to have a meal with them. XWhen I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Had a good weekend in the end. We stayed the night at my daughters, and came home just before lunch time, after having bacon sandwiches for a late breakfast! Yum.
Then at homeDGD and I did a bit of her craft club stuff, and then we watched a Christmas movie.
Today I was up early, and after a bit of a subliminal music I was doing the housework. I did a blitz on the kitchen, before waking DGD at 7am.
After is had my shower, had breakfast etc I even had time to start on the sitting room, and do the hoovering!
Not sure how come I was able to be so organised this morning.
After the school run I was at the shop just gone 9am and was ready to do the days work etc all on time.
Things were looking good, as I finished one job etc, but after that it went a bit behind schedule, with several fittings, and more alterations etc to quote for, and then deliveries and then at the end of the day I had two old ladies in, one after the other that stopped me from sewing as they wanted to talk!
So tonight I have brought one job home.
Dinner is on, nearly ready, and I've run up a batch of scones as I have the oven on.
After dinner DGD and I are going to finish her crafting, do her reading, and once she is in bed then I am going to do the work I brought home! When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Well I did start on the work I brought home, but didn't finish it as I didn't have the space to spread it out. I need to reclaim my workspace from the dump ground it has started to become. So I started to hand sew one of the little Christmas freebies in my sewing magazine. Mind you Santa is not finished as there wasn't enough filling.
I was up at 6 again this morning, but not quite so organised. However 10 minute potter in the kitchen and another in the bathroom had those back in shape and another 10 minutes moving the wet washing around and folding the dry has helped.
My postcode lottery says I have Two £10 winning tickets this week, so basically that will cover the next months cost. Funnily my postcode was on the list, and immediately below that was my shops postcode! ( although that's not one of my tickets!).
Let's hope that it's a sign of some better luck. Not that mine has been bad lately, just a bit stretched with demands from family. I seem to have caved in and been handing out dribs and drabs to the family again! So bank of Mum is rather sparce!!
Again!
I must say NO! - again!!! And close the Bank of Mum once more!
DGD is struggling to get up, she has a bit of a cold and doesn't want to go to school, I see a fight on my hands in a few minutes.
The scones I made are a little flat, but they tasted Ok. Will take one in for tea break I think.
Tonight we will have a use it up day, from the fridge! So no major cooking after work needed.
I am still loosing a little bit of weight but it's not so rapid now! It's running up and down the stairs at work all the time, keeping me in trim!
The left side, my arm and neck are still gripping, but are much better since I started to use the pad on my seat. So it's working.
Today is a full day at work, I hope that I can get on with the jobs and not have too many little old ladies needing to chat. ( one yesterday is 78 and just left her husband after 30 odd years of hell it seems!)
The other is missing her ballroom dancing, she used to be a champion),
It is lovely to meet all these people, but of course it stops me from working, which is not good.
May have to take myself upstairs and work on the top floor for a few hours when I have help in the shop. I had said I would do that yesterday but I never did.
Have a good day everyone. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Interruptions seem to be the order of the day. But today dispite working non stop I still had more jobs in the going out!
I also had several random requests, I am not a habadashery but it seems that people think I am, or should be. Mind you I went to the lady who is supposed to be, and she was closed. ( dispite her advertising hours). So I see their frustrations.
One of my customers is a lovely lady I met last week, and she is getting married very soon to one of my followers on here. Just would like to say congratulations, best wishes, and wish you a very happy future! You known who you are, and I couldn't wish for a nicer person to be so fortunate. But IF you can get small quantities of those 'emergency packs' which you see in chemists / supermarkets / corner stores at reasonable prices and sell them for a profit, that might be worth considering, eg packs of elastic, safety pins, mini sewing kits, poppers, hooks and eyes. Just don't get too technical or bogged down with lots of stock.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
At the moment I really cannot afford it. I have just sold off bits of my stash, so to speak. I will consider the emergency pack bits in the new year, once I see how I am doing. I'm worried that I won't be able to cover my bills if I don't get on with the jobs fast enough, or have time to make things anymore. I have to hope that some of my little extras will just help make ends meet.
The money is coming in, but I have had some very large bills, one off bills that will not need to be done again, but that will be a while before they are cost effective, like the logo, and the town guide advertising. ( my only advert this next year).
Right, it's time to get DGD ready, she's on a go slow this morning! We were supposed to be at Breakfast Club by now, and she isn't even dressed! But she is eating a pain au chocolate! So I suppose it won't matter too much! When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
