Thought of this forum and drove home without stopping, a small win but the very reason I am here!!!

    Frugalgdubs

Similar thing happened to me last night when I had to return some Xmas buys (bought with voucher) back to our mini M3S sadly I couldn't return as they only sell food items in our local store...seriosly took some will power to resist the wine/chocolate temptation! Luckily I ate before I went there and the thought of the forum enabled me to resist (well, on this ocassion anyway!!):A

Lets see if I resist when I return the items to the larger M3S at the weekend!? Ha..

Long day at work today so probably no chance to update tonight. Have already sorted lunch out and nice bottle of water as well. Should hopefully see me through to the end of the day.

Yes, £45 a month... What a shock when I sat down and added it all up. My attitude was I work really hard so why shouldn't I have this little treat? Little treats every day added up to a biggish amount at the end of the month. I suspect that I spent more in other months.. Now the queues that used to annoy me ( waiting for the coffee) actually give me a chance to think "do I really want this?, do I really need it" the answer is often no..

Hope everyone has a good day

    Completely forgot - I am declaring 10 NSD and 6 in a row:rotfl:

    :beer:Good Morning Folks,

I have had a very busy week, hence going missing! I have been very busy in work, which has resulted in me being able to declare NSDs 10,11&12 for Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday:beer:
I am off today, so it probably won't be an NSD, although will have to report back later as to whether or not I've avoided hitting the shops:p
Marmite, hope you are feeling better soon
Kerri, I hope bootcamp was painless, although if it's anything like the pain I am currently feeling from spin, I understand:mad:
Well done to everyone grabbing NSDs at the minute and avoiding the sales (unless you really need it of course!):money:
Thanks to ETO & Sazzie for the updates:T
If you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.

    £2 savings jar £300:D
Total credit card debts £1250:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: - Will I ever learn!!
  • Have reached NSD 9 - only one more to go to reach target.:j

Spendy day today, but sticking strictly to a budget so not too painful. Got 6 huge bananas reduced price at MR T, only 23 pence and good for another couple of days easily! Also 3 small tins evap milk for a quid, so they have been shoved in the cupboard for future puddings. And can recommend the tinned new potatoes, only 15 pence and good enough to use in recipes or as a side dish when you can't be arrised to peel real spuds.

kerri - a posh new magenta kettle, hey? Very nice too!

But......do you realise what that means? Prepare yourself for a shock, sit down, have a glass or six of whisky.....YOU WILL HAVE TO REDECORATE THE ENTIRE KITCHEN!!!!!
