Nsd 6 & 7
I can't remember spending anything yesterday & I stayed home for the majority of the day... I only went out to Maths and then home again.FebNSD:1/14 (TotalNSDs:12NSDs|SPC#054 £0.52(£6.00 banked)|RR#90Jan£0.07(Total:£0.07)|ES:£1.00/£50.00|£6.00/£359.00SavingsRepayment0 -

No chance today as it's DD2's birthday AND I've been to the Boots 70% off sale. I am, however, stocked up on luxury toiletries for the year for the family (because I freely admit I'm picky and spoilt on that score!), mother's day gifts, Easter presents for teens (instead of overpriced chocolate), decent quality make up for me and four Christmas presents for the grand total of £70And I even checked the price per ml on each item before buying! Probably looked like a bit of a fool with my calculator out in the middle of boots but I just didn't care

Went to the Boots sale but only bought two things (went at lunchtime rather than first thing) and paid with points.
Braved the sale too, didn't seem to be as much stuff as last year and some people were just grabbing everything they could. Heard one woman saying about a hair set .'oh yeah, stuff like that will sell' I highly suspect she was talking car boot rather than boots sale  heard some really disgraceful behaviour in some stores and think boots should limit the spend per person, £100 would be plenty at those prices IMO. Anyway, moan over. I managed to get to med sanctuary sets and some glitter babes stuff for presents so happy with that. Also got a S&G set for myself (after saying I wouldn't) but that might go back as it was still £10.50 and it's the body scrub I really want, although I'd use the body wash and prob the hand cream. BUT I paid with points :A
However I do have a midweek spend dilemma.....I ordered OH b'day present today. Now do I count that as a spend? Since it's his b'day next week I'd need to get it at some point and there was a £30 off code :money: I'd already decided what I was going to get him, and I don't count Xmas gifts as spends. Thoughts on a postcard please.
Finally, kettle has packed up today  the switch won't stay on, so guess I'll be getting the free one I got with my kmix out sooner than planned. Oh, and it's magenta :eek:Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Araminta – # 6 – well done :j
Blubella – # 7 in the bag – fantastic :T
Brokemedic – Wow, £45 a month on coffee – bet that shocked you  Hopefully the motivation proved by getting #9 and 5-in-a-row means that won’t be happening ever again :rotfl:
Fedupandskint – Over halfway now with # 15….loving your work :rotfl:
Flubberyzing – I’m sure having your sis over was worth giving up a NSD. Well done on #10 :j
Giggles86 – glad your non-updated signature didn’t stop you grabbing #6 :T
Jammydodger – ‘fessing up to #11 – keep at it with your spending diary….surprising how the little spends add up  :A

LionessinWinter – great work on getting #3 :T
Moomin – well done on restricting yourself to just 2 things in Boots and nabbing #8 :j

Hi, as the title suggests, nearly fell back into bad habits tonight. Driving home, decent length commute but didn't need fuel, but so nearly dropped into the local Tesco express to buy......something!,,
Thought of this forum and drove home without stopping, a small win but the very reason I am here!!!
So managed to scrape NSD # 6 today, good feeling!
FrugalgdubsLBM DEC 13, MBNA CC £5300 (£8k),Barclays CC £7800 (£8k), Barclays Loan £0 (£5k), Virgin CC £7400 (£10k)

Awww well done on resisting Frugalgdubs.
I often find if I'm thinking of popping to our local t3sco express I think about this thread and my NSD's and it can really help.
Declaring NSD # 7 today. :j Went out to music group and popped a pressie to my friends for her daughters birthday tomorrow but stayed away from all shops.SPC 18 Target £200 /0 -
Morning everyone, plan to be back later for an in a row update
Brokemedic, try to go one day at a time, sort of- I wont go to that coffee shop today...maybe tomorrow..... and no-one knows about by debt except my ex-partner who I had joint debts with and his family. I do use the line that my income has reduced (it has), I'm saving for my retirement (I wish) and I'm cutting back to ensure I don't run up any (more) debt - (true), and therefore I'm not buying/going/doing xxxx at the moment.
I have also adapted the MSE phrase for me, it goes
DO I NEED IT, CAN I AFFORD IT, CAN I GET IT CHEAPER, TODAY IS NOT A SPEND DAY:rotfl:
so no Boots visits for me at the moBut good for you if you got bargains its just no in my spend plans at the moment. :T
Debt -it's a fight that I'm winning, dealing with debt one day at a time.
Estimated DFD August 2018 - 2031 - now 2027 :T
