Morning all,
Very excitedly rolled our new rig on the floor last night to end up being disappointed! I love the rug but its too narrow and I don't like the proportions! It is 80 x 150 and feels like it is a hallway runner. So hubby is taking it back and getting the next size for another £15 which is 120 x 170. It will fill up the floor space between our sofas more than we planned but I think it will be much better. Gutted about spending another £15 but never mind.
Asked my mum about the next discount the offered and I think I will take it. They offered £31 off and then upped it to £62 when I wanted £75 off. However my worry is they might just decide to collect the sofas for me quibbling for an extra £13. Then the fact I got an unexpected £13 back from cubs seems like a sign that I should accept it.
For today;
Check banking
Reconcile spends
Email next
Go to DDs art exhibition
Work hard- so much to do today
Hubby to get new sofa
Pay cheque in
Send out rest of eB@y sales
Lunch from stores
Ring up to book DD1s birthday party
Take out money to put in cousins card and then move money over from birthdays account.
That's me :-)

Morning all,
I hope everyone is well
I'm a bit nervous as it is my appraisal at work this morning!!!! Eeekkk!!!
I feel a bit more motivated at the moment as my brother is only 26 and is buying his 3rd house. I am desperate for us to own our first house. So bring it on debt!!!
I need to have tone more focused.
So the current plan is to pay off our sofas which are gaining interest and our holiday in August which we need to pay by the end of May. While I leave hubby tackling the ccs. I'm going to pay as much of my wages towards the sofas as poss and then any extra money made on eBay or budget savings will go towards the holiday. The holiday balance is currently £557. By the end of this week I will have another £60 from eBay I reckon which will drop it into the 400s :-)
Payday in a week and a half. I'm really hoping ill have some money left to pay off the sofas. We have a meal out this weekend for MILs birthday which is a bit of a cost.
April expenses from disposable income;
DDs trip payments
Easter
Kids being off school- entertainment
Camping trip in wooden pods. Fuel and food
London trip with my Mum, Nan and Aunts. Paid for train, hotel, meal and theatre already so just a bit of spending money.
Big birthday month- my £40 budget won't quite cover the amount for April. Dad £20 FIL £40 Cousin £10 SIL £25 Cousin £10!
Need to find things to sell!!!

Right just caught up with a lot of diaries so now I have got round to mine
Not too much to report.
Had a lovely day, worked until 1 and then my mum took me out for lunch. Found the £13 cheque in my bag that I had forgotten about.
So this weekend we don't have too much planned. Tomorrow will be house work and DD1s dance classes...and maybe a film night. Sunday is MILs birthday so as part of her present we are taking her out for dinner. I have put aside the money for her dinner from the present budget but still need to pay for us , DSS who has an adults meal and then our 2 girls! So a bit costly but it will be nice.
Eb@y sales up to £15 currently but quite a few watchers. After fees I made £30 last week so I wanted to make £28 to dip our holiday balance under £500Will see how it goes over the weekend.
Deciding to keep my wallet at home when I go to work now as I do end up spending on bits and bobs in m and s! If I give myself some pocket money each week that will be harder to spend.
Bought mums Mother's Day gifts today as I let her choose what she wants- so a particular mascara and wrinkle cream to the tune of £11.31. Brother no 1 gets her flowers and then she has picked a couple of tops I will give to brother no 3 and my sister to give her. Then just about £12/15 on a bouquet of flowers for MIL and some plant pot set for about £7 for my stepmum and that's sorted. All to be delivered next weekend with cupcakes ill make!
Bits to do;
Send dress back to bhs
Uniform rebate letter
Clothes to place that give you cash. 2 big bags will only raise about £10 but better than nothing!
Send very parcel back. Chose curtains for DD2s bedroom we are doing up in Sept and perfectly the cheapest ones were the best out of the 3!
Big hellos to everyone that posted above- lovely to see you all.
Well I purposely moved my appraisal (I suggested and she agreed) as a large retail company want to fine us a huge sum of money for late deliveries out of our control and I needed to really get on with fighting this claim and it was also a really busy day. She emailed back and said she agreed and we would do it next weds when she is back in and wanted to let me know how much she appreciated my support. I wasn't hopeful for a payrise before and now after the above mentioned fine it definitely won't happen as it will have us tight on money! 2 large payrises in 12 months already is enough to be happy with
I had better get to bed! I want to do a lot of decluttering tomorrow to start getting the house spick and span!

Hi Brizzle,
Lovely to 'see' you. Thank you for your tip on the money whiz app on your page. I've duplicated my online banking to money whiz so it will be a great way to record my spends. It has all my little e-savers for presents, clubs, and tv/car tax
It's fab- thank you!Orange Fairy
