Hi OF, hows it going? We're doing it again, I'm on and your off!! LoL

Hope the debt busting is still going well with you and you're still managing to keep motivated.

I don't like waiting for cheques to cash either! I like my actual and available balance to be the same, otherwise it sends me into overdrive ha!

hopefully catch up soon, maybe one day we'll get into sync and be online at the same time ;)

    Hi everyone!

Mrs S- one day we will be in sync!

It has been a funny old couple of weeks. Hubby announced he is throwing me a party the day after my birthday (30th) which will be fun. And then sadly my Stepdads mum passed away :( she was such a lovely lady and was suddenly gone so quickly. 10 days from them saying they couldn't do anything for her after finding a shadow on her liver and she was gone :(

Her funeral is actually on my 30th birthday which is a bit sad.

Money-wise I knew May wouldn't be so great as I would be doing things for my birthday and also planning my mums birthday etc.

Good news is that I am motivated to start really cracking on in June! I have just finished paying for DDs residentials which is good news!

My weekend has been lovely. Hubby finished half day on Friday and we went for lunch at Prezz0s using Mr T vouchers then I had a film evening with the kids. Saturday DD had ballet so at the girls request we had a bit of a day at home watching episodes of Lost until the evening. Then we took SIL out for a meal as her birthday present which made me £55 lighter! Sunday we went food shopping to Mr S as we have 6 weeks of great vouchers. After that we took the kids for their first bike ride- DD2 only just learnt to ride a couple of weeks ago. She did really well on a bike that is too small for her!

Then yesterday we went for a riverside walk for a few hours with a crew tea and then back home for a roast! In between all this I de cluttered DD1s entire bedroom right down to getting rid of the rubbishy hair elastics! One brimming bin bag full and a bin bag for the charity shop so I was pleased with that as DD1 is never willing to get rid of anything!

Today I need to check banking and chase my siblings for money towards mums present which I have already bought!

Oooh we were almost in sync there OF!! LoL, glad we can still keep up with diaries even though we're not online at the same time though!

Really sorry to hear about your step-dads mum, thats so sad that she died so soon after her diagnosis, sending you big hugs :( It makes you really think about life and how quickly everything can change. Thats a shame that the funeral is on your birthday, that will be a mix of emotions for you that day.

Thats lovely of your hubby to throw a party for you. Is he allowing you to help arrange anything or is it all a secret?

I'm feeling the same as you with May, my DD's birthday is coming up, as is my sisters and I really can't wait to get into June to knuckle down and get some debts busted!! I rekon I could overpay by £40 per week in June if I keep my head down so to speak, so thats the aim for me.

Like you I have started a MASSIVE clear out in DD's room. I've only done her wardrobe so far (its more like a big walk in cupboard) and already I've had 2 black bags of rubbish, and one huge plastic storage container of clothes that are too small. Will need to get stuck in at the weekend and get it done.

Good luck with chasing your siblings for money for your mums present!!

    Hi all!!!

The party was partly a surprise as he has only just told me about it. He knew he couldn't do it completely as a surprise as I have a huge family and will wonder why no one visited on my birthday (the party is the day after)

Well not too much going on here. I need to check and update figures.

We need to order my camera for my birthday which is £309 and I am getting it with birthday money from my family members so I will have to add what ever the remaining balance is- watch this space!

It is also our 3rd wedding anniversary this weekend and next Thursday marks 13 years since our first kiss :D

All siblings have promised money in an envelope over the weekend so I will get that paid in on Monday

My weekend will mostly be homework with DD2 and practising SATs tests with DD1 who also needs to go out and practice distance on her bike as just 2 weeks ago the school announced her class would do a sponsored 12 mile bike ride on the afternoon during SATs week! She has never cycled that far before so I am a bit concerned. Not a great idea to do it on such a stressful week either!

Right I am off to bed. I am exhausted after nearly 40 hours worked in 4 days. It has been horrid this week but clocking in this many hours early on in the month with help by the end of the month so I can have more leisurely days over half term!

    Catch up soon

Wow that's a lot of hours. Do you get paid overtime for that or do you get time in lieu?

Hope the party is a good one and you get quite a bit of money towards your camera x
