    Happy Tuesday everyone.

    We had a lovely weekend. Hubby cooked me a 3 course meal for our anniversary;

S- homemade scotch eggs with crispy onions, an onion relish and cave aged cheddar
M - pan roasted cod on pomme pur!e , dwarf beans and porcini mushrooms
D- Orange chocolate fondant with salted caramel and pistachio and almond ice cream

It was blooming lovely. I got up and made cheese scones with bacon and scrambled egg with chive for breakfast so it was a very foodie day!

Starnac- I'm on flexitime so as long as my hours for the month are reached and I am in at least 9.30-2.30 each day (1pm Friday) I can work as I like. So doing 8 extra hours over last week means I can be more leisurely towards the end. I work 37.5 hours a week but can work a couple of 30 hour weeks with a couple of 45 hour :-)

DD1 has SATs tests this week. She is pretty worried about them which is unlike her :(

Managed to get £160 out of the £200 I'm owed for my mums iPad. So I'm getting there!

De cluttered all of DD2s room at the weekend too so nearly both of them done now. Just one craft box of DDs to sort and it is complete. Then on to our room :)

Trouble is we now have piles of stuff for family members, charity shop and clothes for cash...just need to get these sorted.

I really need to look at my bank account and reconcile spends. I've been too scared to look at it in a while!!

    Morning all.....

2 days until my birthday :-)

I am presently looking forward to June and starting to debt bust on overdrive and lose weight. Our holiday is the end of August so I need to shift some pounds!

This means planning my food well and doing some exercise. I was going to start running again but I really hate it! So I am going to concentrate on the things I enjoy- cycling, swimming, walking and badminton! I am going to chat to my bestie to talk about playing badminton again once a week. I am thinking I can cycle to work once a week and also cycle DD1 to guides on a Wednesday. Swimming I reckon I could do one evening a week and maybe once at the weekend with the kids. Then walking just when and where I can. We like to go on long walks at the weekend so as the weather gets better this will be more frequent.

My other thing is to start leaving my purse at home when I go to work and only take £20 to work at the beginning of the month to use as lunch money if I need it. I usually take lunch so it will be a challenge to see how much I have left at the end of the month!

    Today;

    Check banking
    Reconcile money app
Buy lunch but try not to spend much
Pop money round to my uncles
Look at an outfit for my party
    Get hair cut
    Work hard
Go to secondary school with DD1 for a meeting (she starts there in september!)
Download geocaches to my phone for Friday

    Morning all!

Only at work until 2.30 today and then off for the weekend :-)

30 tomorrow!!!! Not sure whether to laugh or cry....or both!

I have ordered some clothes from next, very and joe browns to arrive today. I need to pick something for my party and also a black top to wear with my black work trousers for the funeral tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully I can do this as cheaply as possible so fingers crossed I don't like the most expensive stuff!

Hubby made me lunch for today and I am also meeting my bestie for a cup of tea at lunch. It's a shame as she wanted us to go out for lunch but that will be at least 45 mins and she can't meet me until 1.15. I think going out for lunch until 2 and then leaving at 2.30 might be taking the mick!

Went to a secondary school meeting...DD1 was alarmed to discover there was about 6 hours a week homework in secondary school! She was pretty good and made notes about playing on the Xbox less and ensuring she read 20 minutes every night :-) we will see how that goes!

Then an early night I think...it may be my birthday but we have to have my gorgeous whirlwind of a nephew tomorrow morning at 7am till 9am!

30 isn't that bad. I was devastated when I turned 30 (2 whole years ago now :( ) I had a masquerade ball and it was fab.

Hope you have a lovely birthday and that the funeral is as good as these things can be x

    Morning all,

Well my 30th birthday has been and gone!

I had a lovely weekend though the funeral was very sad and we almost missed it. If it wasn't for hubby driving a little fast we wouldn't have got there as we were lost walking around fields in the countryside!

My big news is that DH is taking me to Rome for the weekend next week! I'm so excited! He also bought me a printer, a dress, new top, floatation voucher and lots of other lovely bits and bobs.

My party went well. We paid the pub to put on chips and then we made sandwiches and baguette rolls with sausage rolls, salad, crisps, dips, quiche etc. We slow roasted a gammon joint overnight and made delicious gammon sandwiches in tiger bread which were very popular.

I received £360 birthday money and lots of other presents. My camera was £309 so I had enough to cover it. In fact we realised we needed to pay the holiday off by the end of May which is was £359 funnily enough. So I paid that off instead and we will sort the camera out next.

Money is pretty tight at the mo so I am really looking forward to pay day. Need to sit down and work out my money!

    Today-

    Work hard
Send back clothes to Joe Browns
    Pop rent money to uncle
Pick up a couple of bits to make my mum a cake for her birthday
Lunch from stores- hubby's homemade quiche
Sort out subs for DD1s guides
Weigh my tortoise as I haven't recorded his size for a while
Email company about his broken bulb as its under warranty

    That's me!

    Morning my MSE lovelies.

    Rome in 3 days- I can't wait!

I have had a lovely weekend. Other than food shopping we didn't leave the house for two days which was well needed! Then yesterday I got up and cleaned the oven which was hard work but looked sparkling! We then went out for a walk to look at the boats at a little harbour and skimmed stones. Then to a park for an ice cream and another little walk before heading back to MILs for a BBQ and the girls went in the hot tub. So £4 spent in total on ice creams.

I have decided that my organisational skills are going downhill lately and while I love a physical diary I just don't use it enough. So I am going to start to use my iPhone calendar and reminder app with alarms to get me back on track. It's never appealed to me before but I think it will help.

    MSE bits...

Hm cheese scones for lunch with hm leek an pot soup
Work hard- long 10.5 hour day today
Arrange return of joe browns clothes I wasn't keeping
    Fill in iCal
Search charity shops for old walking sticks
    Fill in reminders
Decide what to have for tea from stores
Check with my Nan that she is still having the girls tomorrow
