Wowsers OF, only £4641 left to go!! There's light at the end of the tunnel for you then!! What will you do when its gone?! I hope you'll stick around and cheer the rest of us on until we join you on the honours list ;)

Do you have a plan to get it below £4,500 this month, or will you just play it by ear and see how it goes?

I'm also thinking July might be a slow month for me with extra childcare costs, but there are other bits and pieces on the horizon, so onwards and upwards!

Really pleased you're so close to debt freedom.... almost there!!!

    Afternoon All,

Just did an up to date SOA with small changes that have been made. God our mobile phone bill is high at £49.50! This is for 3 phones though.

It looks pretty good to be fair though there are somethings to make becoming debt free harder.

Our holiday in August and DD2s birthday in Sept where we have promised to replace her furniture with solid oak. We have all the new bedding, curtains, wallpaper and other bits. Just an owl wall sticker and the furniture to go!

I worked out the balance a little wrong so it is now at £4622 so it would be great to get under £4.5k...what can I sell????

Mrs S - I will definitely stick around.....I'll stay on the DFW diaries and record my house deposit saving as that will be the next big thing :D

I don't really have a plan....just kinda hoping i'll have enough left in my bank by next payday to pay off £122...though the car was making funny noises yesterday so that could twart our plans! Perhaps I should plan on selling some bits and bobs!

woohoo I have knocked £91 off my signature without even having to do anything.

Hubby pointed out his second card is at 1270 not 1361. I had been kinda guessing this balance. So debt total is now £4531 so just 32 to get it under £4.5k!

Hubby wants to pay off 271 off his card to get it under £1k next month alongside getting money for our holiday. So that will be our plan for the month as I don't think we can do much else in August.

Other MSE things....I have £13 to claim back from top cash back, hubby was awarded a £10 amazon voucher from O2 and we kept our shop at £59 today with a £10 voucher bringing it to £49. We have also meal planned to use up as much of the freezer as poss!

I am babysitting my niece and nephew tonight so I am relaxing with a cup of tea with the football on! They are 3 and 1 and remind me why I am grateful mine are older and that I didn't end up having another last year. They are good as gold but still hard work as they are young!

Tomorrow we are meeting friends for a walk so the only expense might be a hot drink or a pasty somewhere :) I have also promised hubby American Pancakes for breakfast after watching celebrity Masterchef! Will have to see how they turn out!

I hope every one is well!

    Morning all,

I haven't been on for a few days.

Well we have spent a bit recently. The coast walk on Sunday ended in all our friends wanting to go for a pub lunch. I didn't really want the expense of this but it wasn't too bad. While everyone had meals we got drinks, 3 side orders of chips and some bread and butter for £14 so not as MSE as I was expecting the day but the best of the situation. It was a lovely day though.

Ordered hubby's new glasses from glasses direct on Monday. So a £100 spend rather than his usual £400 so not bad and it will stop him looking out through scratches!

Our dilemma at the mo is how much to take on our European road trip holiday. We were thinking £800 for the 12 days but BIL and SIL are taking £500. We will then use card to pay for fuel while there. We gave one more child than then but will be eating in a lot. I think if they aren't expecting to spend out a lot then it means they don't want to go out very much. Maybe we take £600 and then use card for meals out etc if we are getting low????

    Today;

    Send cards off
    Lunch from stores
    Dinner from stores
    Check banking
    Reconcile spends
Take topcashb@ck money out of paypal
    Decide on spending money
    Print out budget
    Print out birthday budget
Start finalising childcare for the hols

    Evening all,

Well today was a good day. Sorted out some sweets and bits to go with my brothers birthday money for tomorrow and also bought my godmother her birthday present which is also tomorrow

Checked banking and it seems to be going okay. £140 left and then £50 to arrive on the 21st of July so £190 for the month.

I need about £80 for food and then I have £50 in cheques that might cash!

So we will see how things go.......................
