Happy New Sofa Day!! I hope they have arrived, they fitted through the door and they look great!!
Feel for your friend, thats awful - does he know that she knows? Well done to you for managing to be civilised to him, that must have taken a fair amount of willpower when all you want to do is give him a good slap!
Well done on getting 2/3rds through the OT too, you're on the home straight there.
Enjoy chilling on the sofa's!

TFI Friday :-)
I have had a lovely couple of days. Thank you for the New Sofa Day well wishes Mrs S! I am over the moon with my new sofas. A bit lighter than I thought so I will have to watch the stains. But they look awesome. Just have to pay for the darn things now!!
Yesterday was DD1s 11th birthday and she had a lovely day. We didn't do much as we had a steady steam of visitors with 45 minutes break between 12 and 10pm! DD2 is away at cub camp this weekend so perhaps we will do something nice with DD1 for her birthday.
Today is a bit hectic. Off to work 8-1 while trying to fit in time to get the last bits for cub camp in town. Then over to my friends who has the girls this morning before swimming with them. Then out and start walking up to hubby's work to jump in his car to take the 1.5 hour journey to cub camp.
When all I want to do is to sit on my comfy new sofas and watch telly while eating left over hm brownies
Need to check banking today and work out my spends. I haven't jotted down my spends this week so I need to work that out!

Morning all,
I had a great weekend. Friday was just a half day at work and then I had a great time swimming with DDs. Dropped DD2 to cub camp and picked her up again yesterday. She is knackered but had a wonderful time.
MSE things over the weekend;
Dinner from stores on Saturday to use up freezer
Meal plan done and with only buying fresh veg, mince and steak I have meal planned dinners for the whole of march :-)
Emailed Next about a small bit of damage on the sofa
Emailed a photo of a dress to bhs that is dropping glitter constantly
Arranged a return to BHS for a £10 item
Gave meter readings.
Dinner at MILs yesterday
Had to pay the window cleaner £29 yesterday which I wasn't budgeting for.
Jobs for today;
Text hubby at 5.15 to remind him to go to my Dads to pick up DDs birthday money
BHS item in the post
Print out picture for DDs homework at work
Walk DD2 to cubs tonight
Check banking
Reconcile spends
Make lunches for tomorrow
Hm leek and pot soup today for lunch
Fasting this evening so no dinner
Pick up nephews birthday present
Search for voucher codes for online cards
Work out debt totals as hubby's have changed a bit as he has moved his cards around.
Research DD party
Get invites
Looking ahead to march we hope to pay off a bit of debt. It is a relatively quiet month. The extra spends will be DD1 party, Mother's Day, guttering for the house and maybe passports.

Wow you have been a busy fairy this weekend and today!! Sounds like you've acheived lots of bits and pieces - wish I had your motivation today, I've been rather lazy and in total Monday Mode
Here's to getting some more debts paid off in March, its always nice to have a quiet month now and again to get overpayments made.
Ouch to the window cleaner bill!! Thats a whopper! Was that for a few weeks worth of work?
I also need to get our passports, but figure there's no point until I have something booked for us to go away. That won't be until next year at least! Still, something to look forward to!
Hope you have a good evening!

Happy Wednesday- mid week and payday Friday. Woohoo.
Hi Mrs S :-) I hope you find some motivation soon. My trouble is keeping it up. That was 4 months of the window cleaner. I just haven't seen him to pay him until now!
Money news.....getting a little dire at the moment. Need to get cc totals from hubby and work out what my totals are.
Hubby might be signing up to a Microsoft course for £100 which is an extra spend but great on his CV so worth it.
Today.....
Email next back to say the gesture of goodwill of £30 isn't good enough
Email BHS back and say they aren't listening to me

Morning all,
Beginning of the week....the weekend went far too fast.
Friday night we had our nephew round who is lovely but a little bit of a handful so I was a bit tired by the time he left Saturday lunch time. On Saturday morning we took him and the girls to a local Big Breakfast morning to raise money for North Devon Hospice. Food and teas came to £20 and then we gave a further £5 as a donation. So £25 spent on breakfast which wasn't very MSE but for a good cause.
DD1 had a busy weekend. Saturday 12.30-3.30 at ballet, 6pm until 11am Sunday to a sleepover (the mum said they fell asleep at 3am!!), 11.30 till 2 at our nephews birthday, then 2 till 5 at ballet again! She was so knackered she fell asleep while reading her book last night!
Our nephews 3rd birthday party went really well- it was pirate themed and SIL did some really cool stuff. His birthday is today so we are off to see him tonight.
I was pleased with myself yesterday as I listed 23 items on eb@y from my pile of 30 items. Ill give all items 3 attempts to go and then if they still haven't sold I will give them to charity shops. Ill list the other 7 items shortly- they won't take long as I don't have to iron them.
Big Mr T shop on Saturday using a £6 off voucher. We purposely kept the shop less than we planned as we knew we would get another voucher for this week which we did. So a £63 spend and then if we stick to £40 we will spend another £35 this week. Not bad really as other than some fresh veg that accounts for all meals until the end of the month!
Tasks for today-
Work hard- review coming up
List bedding set on FB
Send eb@y sale that sold within 30 mins on buy it now
List kids bikes on FB
Check eBay
Soup and bread for lunch
Find a little toy car for nephew so he doesn't get too disappointed with his present of clothes.
Check banking
Print and update budget
Buy school dinners
Pay an amount towards DD1s trip
Email school about an issue I have
Clear out hand bag and purse
Email next
Email bhs
Pay bills
Move money around
Drop rent to uncle
DD1- new tights and leotard
DD1 - plan her lifts into the theatre this week. She has 3 performances with ballet on Friday night, Saturday Day and Saturday night. She also has to be in weds for technical rehearsal and Thursday for dress rehearsal so a busy week!
That's me!

Morning all,
I had a productive evening last night.
Turned 1.2kg of mince in to lasagne and Chilli. 1 double meal of lasagne and 3 lunches and 5 lunches of Chilli. Hubby has a chilli today and the rest is in the freezer. I have half a soup and a tiger still left at work to have
I have tomorrow off work! Woohoo! DD1 has her assembly in the morning and then I said to mum that we would do something. Either take her dog for a walk or go out for lunch which will be nice.
Also emailed Next and BHS regarding my queries. I might have been a little mean in them but we will see what they say!
Cubs has cashed a cheque for DD2s cub camp which I had forgotten about and I also forgot I owe DD1 £25! My money is slowly draining away!!!
I hope everyone has a great day

Morning Diaryland
Well we had a spendy weekend. DD1 had her shows so we went out for dinner in between shows.
We are doing DD2s bedroom up in September for her birthday and she wants is in an olive green. So over the weekend we bought two lots of bedding reduced to £7 each, a striped cushion reduced to £10 from £20, wallpaper for £26 and a green ornament for £2.
Then I had a £20 off a £50 spend with Very so for £36 I got her a plain cushion, a green rug and green curtains.
I was really downhearted that I had spent money on something we don't need yet on our frugal month......BUT then we raised £130 selling bits on eB@y! So these sales covered all the bits for her bedroom and the red rug for our lounge for £50 that hubby is picking up today!
This will help in September as buying these bits for her room now means they are done and we just have to sort out her furniture in August time.
Other good news- refund from bhs £10 and a refund from cubs of £13 as DD2s camp was cheaper than they thought.
I have more bits and bobs to sell and I'm not sure whether to say this money somewhere towards DD2s furniture or to use it for debt busting!!!
