Evening all,
I have had today off and it has been amazing to have some time alone in the house. I used to work 3 days a week so had lots of time to spend cleaning and keeping the house in a good order. Since working full time I don't have that and all holiday days are used for when the kids are off school. We have a flexi-Friday we can use each month but every month so far has been used in the holidays or for things like Xmas shopping, a trip away etc. This was the first one with no plan
So I dropped the girls to school and went home to clean and de-clutter. I have now done the WHOLE of downstairs including the dreaded under stairs cupboard. Today I took everything out of all the kitchen cupboards, cleans them and organised everything back in. Cleaned the oven and fridge and got all the washing sorted. Then I took everything out of the lined cupboard upstairs, ironed all the 'to keep' stuff to put back in. All the other bits went into the loft to use when painting etc. So a very productive day which I hope motivates me for the weekend!
Money isn't too great but I get paid next Friday. Hubby and I are then on our way to Boscastle for a couple of nights away which will be lovely. Cream teas, walks, snuggles and a visit to Doc Martins!
So looking forward to it!
Will be back on tomorrow with plans for the weekend and a diary catch up!

Morning All.
God am I tight for money at the moment! Still waiting for girl guides to cash their cheque which has me on edge. I have £80 put aside to pay towards our £130 hotel on Friday. Then what ever extra can be put towards it if I have some left. I spent £20 on food shopping last night. I was going to class it as £20 of feb and take the money out of my Feb pay check but actually it is all stuff we need this week so ill use it out of this month.
Other than my hectic Friday I had quite a relaxing weekend. SIL and BIL took us out and bought us a meal for hubby's birthday present which was lovely.
Then a lot of snuggling and film watching :-) so a good weekend!
Now back to the reality of work which will be really busy as I have to catch up on not being there Friday!
4 days until payday!! Can't wait!
Next finally let me know that my Sofas (original due date today) are going to be another 4 weeks minimum!! I moaned over email to them and they have sent an email asking me to phone them so they can offer me a gesture of goodwill for my inconvenience. So fingers crossed it is something good! Ill ring them later today.
Today;
Work hard and catch up
Free fun with my bro and sis playing cards later
Check banking
Print out Feb budget
Uniform letter on behalf of hubby
Dinner - nothing as fasting
Make sure I drink lots of water
Lunch- big soup with single slice of hm bread
Text/email SIL regarding something DD1 wants for her birthday

Morning all,
Having a bit of a miserable time at the mo. Trying to sort out people to have the kids at the weekend with is plagued with issues due to commitments DD1 has.
Then I was meant to have a flexifriday on the 21st of Feb in the holidays the day after DD1s birthday but my colleague who covers the office with me agreed to my boss she would go to a baby show that day leaving no one for the office. We work these Flexifridays out between each other and she knew I had that one as I let her have October half term with her daughter. She didnt mean to do it but now I'm pretty miffed. I can have the 14th off as the kids are off that day too but it isn't the same as it doesn't give me a 4 day weekend :-( I don't know whether to stand my ground or to kind of wade in as the hero and say ill swap my flexifriday???
Skinnylate- I weigh and measure Sherman to check his progress to make sure he doesn't put weight on too slowly or too quickly. This is my first winter with him so we aren't hibernating him until next year. The result has been him being a bit sluggish and not eating at much so I am watching his weight closely. Though he has been a different tortoise over the last few days...really lively and eating loads.
It was my Grandads 76th birthday yesterdayso tea and cake around there. He requested vouchers for a massage for his birthday as he has always wanted one!
Today;
Work hard
Check my hours to make sure I'm on track for this month
Sort out childcare for the weekend
Get old toys ready for DD2 to sell at a toy sale to raise money for their school trip.
Check banking (2 days till payday!)
Pop to the shops to get pât! and cracker to sort my lunch for the next 3 days
Book a table in Tintagel for Saturday night when we are away.
That's me :-) x

Morning all,
Long time no speak
We had a fab weekend thank you Mrs S. A bit costly as we spent £88 on 2 meals and a lunch! But it was lovely to be away and just be usrained and hailed on our walks but it made it funny! Had a walk to Doc Martins house which was great.
Not much else to report. Yet again more extra spends this month. DDs ballet costumes, £38 for DD2s cub camp, £36 towards DD1s residential (£99 left) and overspends on DD1s birthday next week!
So I am feeling a little deflated that I haven't made more of a dent in the debt. Need to update my figures.
Positives are that hubby has managed to make a couple of £100 extra payments from his CC and as his 0% is up he has managed to move them to another one.
I need to get back money people owe me and also work out what is still to come out of my account. I have to plan DD1s birthday party too! I HATE birthday parties!
I hope everyone is well!

Morning all!
It is the start of half term here as my girls had an extra Friday tagged on to the beginning.
I have today off as a flexi-day so Mum and me are taking the kids to an indoor play area and then McDonalds. I hate McDs but she had already announced it and the kids were jumping for joy as I never let them have it. I won't be eating there. Then we might be going to the cinema. So a bit of a spendy day but nice to do things with them. Hopefully I won't spend more than £35 today!
My great news is that my sofas are booked to arrive on Wednesday! I am so excited I feel almost giddy! We will be having lots of visitors the next day for DD1s birthday so it is great timing! I now just hope they fit through the door...I have been a bit panicky about that!
Happy Valentines Day everyone! I am cooking hubby a roast dinner tonight and then he is cooking a 3 course meal on Sunday. I go away to Bournemouth tomorrow with a friend to stay at another friends who moved there in December. We are back late Sunday afternoon so it will be nice to have a romantic dinner with him when I get back
Better get up and ready I suppose!
The aim of today is to not spend toooooo much and for the girls to have a great day

Morning MSE land
I hope everyone has had a great weekend.
Friday was more expensive than I thought. I spent £41 in total which I could have done without. And to make matters worse it was all for things I didn't want to do! The kids had a great day though! This covered indoor play area for 2 hours, hot drinks for me and my mum, 2 happy meals (yuck!) a trip to the cinema, 2 slush puppies and the bus home.
Then we went up to see our friend one Saturday to Bournemouth. She just moved from here in Dec to be near family and so her husband could get home quicker at weekends from his job in London as he was hardly ever coming home. Turns out he has been having a serious affair which is why he hasn't been coming home. I could literally kill him. So we felt she needed some support as she doesn't know what to do. So I went to spend the night at hers with my friend from work, her DD and my DD2 (DD1 had to stay home for ballet practise. It was really lovely to see her but he was there which meant we couldn't properly talk and we had to be civil and chat to him. I spent £2 on parking and £3 on sweets for the car. We didn't pay for the takeaway as her husband paid and we didn't argue. If he can spend hundreds of pounds on another woman he can spend £20 on a takeaway for his wife's close friends!
I just need to work out the money to give to my friend for driving. I am reckoning about £30.
Need to be extra frugal as I am rapidly running out of money! Pay day isn't until the end if next week!!
It was lovely to come home to see hubby and DD1We had a belated valentines meal and hubby cooking 3 delicious courses! Tomato and onion tart, beef and venison pie and lemon melting moments. It was scrummy!!!
Half term now! Hubby is off today with the kids, my mum has them tomorrow and I have to give her cash to take them to an adventure park with my young brother and sister. I have Thursday off for DD1s birthday and then weds and fri are half days so not a bad week really. I am saving my time off to have a week at Easter.
I had better check banking today.....don't think it's going to be pretty......
