Hi INOD XX
I get you on the too emotionally involved front, so annoying cos I am all like blah blah don't care and then - like tomorrow I have a meeting and I am really beating myself up about it.
am so tired so probably not making sense but hello and hugs XXXXXXXXXXNevertheless she persisted.0 -
INOD that's a tough call, because you want your Division to excel, but it can't be at the expense of the overall success of the organisation. Clarity is needed, so there's no harm in asking for a strategy meeting with other Division heads. (It's still a game, but someone's tweaked the rules and you need to know what the rules are).
Hope you're feeling ok today, you were emotionally involved because you care. Hugs xWhat would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0 -
Hope your week ended ok and you can push it to one side and enjoy the play tomorrow.Back on the DFW Wagon:

I was a very shy and compliant young man but as 'middle age' arrived I got more grumpy and obtuse - a result of being consistently 'ground down' by the burgers :rotfl:!!
I am now trying to do what MiT does - and I'm trying to look sincere when I do it!! We have a long planning session this week and I am going to use this to practice my new skills
Hoping total clarity is coming to you INODLet us know how it is going

Yay. It's the weekend and work phone has been switched off and laptop left in the office. Thanks for all the support, it means so much. I know this is gonna be a make or break year and I'm already one staff member down. In the summer, my biggest client will be re tendering and things can go in a variety of directions when that happens. I think my only way to get thru is to give all I can when there but to try and switch off when not. So, plans for the weekend include a small top up shop of £25 - £28 pounds so I can use my £5 off voucher which will give me a payment to the mortgage. Got to visit my mother and dinner followed by the play tonight. Identified one more item to go so will also call to the charity shop. We had ridiculous weather last night, really blustery so didn't get much sleep. Would love to squeeze in a nap this afternoon. Hope everyone has a good and cheap weekend.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Just bought a bookcase. It'll be delivered next week so next weekend's task will be to sort out even more stuff. I got a good deal from an independent shop and ended up with the equivalent of a free lamp due to the discount I got. I do actually need a bookcase but still feel a bit guilty about buying it. I did some grocery shopping today. Mainly meat, fruit, veg and diary. Came to £30 but used my £5 off and am pleased with what I got. I also got another £5 off voucher for next week. It's a fairly basic supermarket but the lack of ready meals, etc makes for a cheaper, better haul and they always have good offers on meat. Dd's friend was here for lunch when I got back so I decluttered a set of coasters and rack to her as I got a lovely set as part of a Christmas present. Still no nap though. Am thinking of just giving it a miss now.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Bookcase sounds great - you needed it, you got a good deal on it, so let that guilt become appreciation and enjoy it.
I like the way you send money saved to your mortgage - I'm thinking after becoming debt free, I'll try and send things like small reimbursed expenses, bank account credit interest, cashback and so on to mine - will have to keep it for a month (as min payment is £500) but can see how those small bits make a difference.
I had an afternoon nap for you :rotfl:Back on the DFW Wagon:

Yay for new bookcase! It is my secret desire to start buying a couple of bits of solid wood furniture this year. To replace hand me downs and plyboard.
Reading your thread, I was so reminded of Madawhohaa... "Just smile and wave boys, smile and wave" :rotfl:
I too had an afternoon nap for you. Did you feel the benefit?
