    England is too INOD :)
  • Well, it turns out my soon to be ex employee was having difficulty adjusting to a different kind of work and there was nowt we could have done differently so I feel a lot better for the feedback. Today I actually managed to get my non working day and it was somewhat productive. Did two small grocery shops one of which earned me £5 of my next £25 spend which is good. I cleared out some Christmas stuff and did a run to the charity shop where I off loaded three bags of stuff. I also picked up prescriptions and got them filled at the local pharmacy. Saved OH from getting wet by bringing him to and from work. Also logged on and saw that my tcb payments had been recd so those along with a Tt to the mortgage takes me over the 2% mark of my two year target. In addition, got notified that I earned an extra 5% for October-dec with tcb so that will be some more pennies to go towards the mortgage. Still haven't heard back from the freezer cashback.
    Today I am grateful for
    Time with dd
Being able to do something for my oh
A colleague emailing to offer help
    Crisp sandwiches

Tomorrow I have round two of my appraisal. I'd dread it if I thought it'd be any more meaningful than round one.

  • Unfortunately my I don't care about this appraisal nonsense attitude morphed into an anxiety causing one. Feel dreadful. Horrible ball of butterflies have settled in my tummy and I don't wanna go to work today. Can't let the arrogant person see my weakness though. This man drives me to wanting to walk away when the reality is I do kinda like my job. Isn't it dreadful that one person can make such a difference? Anyhow, all hiding under the bedclothes will do is to make me late for work which isn't good. Maybe he will have had a personality transplant over Christmas. Maybe I shouldn't have sent him a picture of the grinch on Christmas jumper day suggesting he pin it to the front of his shirt!

Stay strong and play the game - that's all it is in the end, a game.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

  • Unfortunately while you all make perfect sense, I got too emotionally involved. I did however get some clarity that was long overdue. Basically I'm prioritise my division over what's best for the firm. I can do that but it will be to the detriment of others. It goes totally against the grain but if that's what it takes, that's what I will do. Am still a bit unsettled but that will pass. Think I will aim for an early night and hopefully will feel better in the morning. At least then we will be heading towards the weekend and I have tickets to a play Saturday as part of my Christmas present from dd. Thanks again for all the support.

It's just muppets INOD! I have been there 1000 times. Make sure you have it all recorded - keep copies of all emails and if the gist of the message from your meeting is not in email then ask for clarification in email and then keep it all for when muppets change their minds :)
